恭喜！MYP排球队荣获2025黄埔区初中男子组冠军，女子组季军！

决赛日，当最后一球落在对方场地、哨声响起——我们赢了。MYP男队，黄埔区冠军！MYP女队，季军！

On the final day, as the last ball landed on the opponent's side and the whistle blew — we had won. The MYP boys: Huangpu District Champions. The girls, too, achieved an excellent result: third place.

“从去年一场未赢，到今年的冠军和季军，华外EABA排球队孩子们，走过的每一步都不容易。这个冠军奖杯，不仅仅属于场上的十二个人，它属于每一个在训练中坚持下来的队友，属于每一次失误后说“没关系”的鼓励，属于每一次得分时真诚的欢呼，更属于那个在失败后选择重新站起来的自己。”

From failing to win a single match to claiming the championship and third place, every step has been hard-won. This trophy belongs to every teammate who persevered in training, every “It’s okay” after a mistake, every genuine cheer for a point, and above all, to the spirit that chose to rise after falling.

A JOURNEY OF HARDSHIP 

2024年9月，EABA MYP排球队正式筹建。一群完全没碰过排球的新手，懵懂地开始了他们的旅程。

In September 2024, the EABA MYP Volleyball Team was formed. A group of complete novices began their journey with uncertainty.

三个月后，他们站上了黄埔区中小学排球赛的赛场——然后，一场接一场地输。

Three months later, they competed in the Huangpu District tournament—only to lose match after match.

那个瞬间记忆犹新：在对阵强队时，有同学接球失误，球落地的声音像一记重锤砸在心里。有孩子当场崩溃大哭，觉得是自己毁了整场比赛。场上的队友开始互相指责，场下的队友们垂头丧气。那几场比赛，孩子们一场都没赢。比赛结束后，好几个队员悄悄问教练：“我们还会有比赛吗？”

One moment remains vivid: against a strong team, a missed receive felt like a blow. A player broke down in tears, feeling responsible for the loss. Teammates blamed each other, morale sank. They won no matches. Afterward, several asked the coach quietly, “Will we get to play again?”

但不知为什么，小排球们还是留下来了。也许是因为不甘心，也许是因为心底那点对排球刚刚萌芽的热爱。大家聚在一起，认真反思：为什么我们会在场上互相指责？为什么失误后会心态崩溃？我们想要的，到底是一场胜利，还是一支真正的球队？飘扬在学校上空的IB十大培养者学习目标旗帜此刻显得格外刺眼，我们的包容心态去了哪里？我们的善于沟通又去了哪里？ 

Yet they stayed. Maybe out of stubbornness, maybe from a budding love for the game. They reflected together: Why did we blame each other? Why did we collapse after errors? Did we want just a win, or a true team?Under the looming IB learner profile banners, they questioned: Where was our open-mindedness? Where were our communication skills?

带着上一届队员的经验和教训，MYP排球队开始了新的征程。他们邀请更多零基础的同学加入，制定系统的训练计划，集体观看全运会排球赛并分享心得。更重要的是，他们学会了在失误时说“没关系”，学会包容这一秒发生的一切并平衡场上不同的影响因素，让队伍的整体氛围达到最积极，最勇于挑战的状态。

Guided by the lessons from the past, the MYP team began a new chapter. They welcomed more beginners, followed a structured training plan, and watched professional matches to learn and discuss. More importantly, they learned to say “It’s okay” after a mistake.

今年三月，赛前训练进入最后两个月，球场每天都回荡着击球声，孩子们成为了坚持原则的践行者，汗水浸透了队服，手臂被球打得通红，但没有一个人抱怨。不比赛时，他们认真观摩其他队伍，分析战术、记录特点。他们不再只会莽撞扣球，而是学会了思考、配合与逆境中的冷静。

By March, training intensified,they practiced daily. Jerseys soaked, arms bruised.When not playing, they studied other teams, analyzing tactics and styles. 

终于，2025年黄埔区中小学生排球赛到来。赛场上的每个人都感受到了球队的蜕变——无论是参赛两年的老将，还是退役后归来观赛的队员。当对方连续得分，教练暂停后，全队围拢后不是指责，而是快速调整战术、彼此鼓励：“稳住，我们能追回来！”每次失球，都有队友喊：“没关系！再来！”每一个得分球，孩子们都会冲向队友欢呼击掌。

At the 2025 district tournament, everyone felt the change. When the opponents scored repeatedly, the team huddled during timeouts—not to blame, but to adjust and encourage each other. After every lost point, someone shouted, “Next one!” Every point earned brought cheers and high-fives.

还特别记得最后一场决胜局。双方比分咬得很紧，他们用最后一次暂停，以一个冷静思考者的状态挑战着决胜局的压力，稳中求胜，回归所有基本功。相信自己的付出，相信队友的能力。最终，连赢两分，拿下决胜局，拿下了一年前，我们总会因为心态崩溃连续失误丢掉的决胜局。

The final set was unforgettable. With the score tight, their last timeout focused them on fundamentals and trust. They won two straight points to take the set—the kind they used to lose when nerves faltered.

当最后一个球落在对方场地，裁判的哨声响起——孩子们赢了。拥抱，欢呼，泪水。这一刻，所有训练时的汗水，所有失败后的不甘，都化为了最甜美的果实。

When the final ball landed and the whistle blew—they had won. Embraces, cheers, tears. All the sweat and regret turned into sweetness.

这就是华外的排球故事：从零开始，到冠军加冕。而孩子们知道，这只是一个开始。明年，MYP排球队仍会站在这里，始终准备着迎接下一个球，继续书写他们的传奇。

This is the volleyball story of MYP: rising from nothing to claim the crown. And the players know this is only the beginning. Next year, the team will still be here—always ready for the next ball, always ready to add to their legend.

而排球教给他们的，远不止如何获胜。它教会他们：像信任自己一样信任队友，像支持自己一样支持彼此；勇于挑战共同目标，而后无论胜负，并肩离场。

Volleyball taught more than winning. It taught trust and support—to be risk-takers for a shared goal, and to leave the court with open minds, together.
