Our nursery Tigers have happily entered the wonderful world of toys! Our new topic, My Toy Shop, is helping children explore and describe different kinds of toys while learning to distinguish between big and small. Through meaningful play, the children are building early language skills, developing concepts of size, and learning to express their ideas with growing confidence.
Learning is full of hands-on fun in Tiger Class. Inside the classroom, the children are becoming master toy makers! Using a wide variety of materials such as recycled boxes, paper, blocks, and craft tools, they are designing and creating their own toys, including toy cars and dolls. They are also learning to draw simple toys step by step, which supports fine motor development, hand–eye coordination, and early drawing skills while boosting confidence.
The children are expressing themselves by introducing their favourite toys to the class. Through these sharing moments, they practice speaking and listening skills while learning to appreciate each other’s ideas and choices.
Outside, our Tigers continue learning through movement and exploration. Games such as the Toy Scavenger Hunt encourage children to search, compare, and name toys in an active and engaging way, bringing new vocabulary to life through play.
From construction indoors to active discovery outdoors, our Tigers are fully immersed in exploring, comparing, creating, and expressing themselves.
