在爱莎荔湾校园里,常有一些“不期而遇”的惊喜。近日,VEX 机器人悄然走进了学生们的课间。没有隆重的启动仪式,也没有刻意的额外强调,它们就这样自然而然地出现在走廊里,成为了课堂学习之外生动的一章。

Recently, VEX robots have quietly integrated into our students' break times. Without grand opening ceremonies or deliberate emphasis, they appeared naturally in the corridors, becoming a vivid new chapter of learning beyond the classroom.

现在的走廊里,多了一些忙碌而专注的身影:学生们有的在观察机器人的运转,有的在反复调试复杂的程序,还有的在低声讨论中不断尝试。
这不仅仅是机器人的展示,更是一个“去权威化”的学习场域:
在这里,走廊变身为一个开放的“自我表达实验室”,每个孩子都能以最松弛的状态触摸科技。
教育中最动人的时刻,往往发生在“预设”之外。

“问题是出在物理结构上,还是程序逻辑里?”

The corridors are now filled with busy and focused young minds: some are observing the robots in motion, others are repeatedly debugging complex programmes, while some are engaged in hushed discussions, constantly experimenting.
This is far more than a mere display of robotics; it is a "de-authoritative" learning environment:
Unbidden Participation: VEX brings more than just robots; it fosters an atmosphere of free exploration.
Spontaneous Collaboration: Knowledge here becomes a tool for problem-solving, and the use of technology is as natural as breathing, never forced or over-emphasised.
Here, the corridor transforms into an open "Laboratory for Self-expression", where every child can engage with technology in their most relaxed and natural state.
When Robots "Veer Off-course": Profound learning occurs
in the moment of correction
The most touching moments in education often occur beyond the "pre-set" curriculum.
When a robot veers from its intended path, we do not witness anxiety, but rather a series of profound dialogues regarding logic:
"Is the issue in the physical structure or the programmed logic?"
"Should we break it down into smaller test steps?"
"How should we adjust for the next attempt?"
Instead of rushing to find ready-made answers, students gather around in real-world dilemmas to deconstruct challenges together. Authentic learning happens naturally through every "deviation" and "correction".

We often speak of "Learning by Doing", but from the innovation perspective of ISA Liwan, "doing" itself is not the ultimate objective.
The core value lies in students learning how to think critically, judge independently, and achieve meaningful collaboration with others through practice. Engineering mindsets and programming logic are no longer dry textbook concepts; they have become deeply integrated into the daily rhythm of learning.
