On 14 March, coinciding with International Mathematics Day (Pi Day), Fettes College Guangzhou hosted a dedicated Edexcel Maths workshop.
This workshop reflects the school’s strong commitment to teaching quality and the continuous development of its international curriculum faculty. With guidance from an expert and in-depth professional training, the workshop aimed to enhance the teaching of A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, providing solid academic support for students’ progression to international universities.
The workshop was led by Mr Martin Crozier, an official Pearson Edexcel–certified trainer, author of Edexcel mathematics textbooks, and an experienced educator with nearly 20 years of expertise.
All mathematics teachers from the group participated, engaging in professional learning to strengthen their teaching foundations and clarify their instructional direction.

Drawing on his extensive expertise, Mr Crozier provided a systematic overview of the Edexcel Mathematics and Further Mathematics curriculum structure. He analysed core units and extension modules, clearly explaining key assessment focuses, skill requirements, and preparation strategies, enabling teachers to better understand the curriculum's and examination framework's logic.
He also offered a detailed explanation of grade boundaries, cash-in rules, results aggregation and submission processes, equipping teachers with practical guidance methods to better support students in academic planning and results management.

All teachers participated attentively and engaged actively in discussions throughout the workshop. Through professional exchange, they addressed teaching challenges and gained valuable insights into current best practice.
