A Celebration of Culture and Community at BSG International Day 2026

Last Saturday, our campus came alive with colour, music and global spirit as we welcomed families to this year’s International Day. Even with a touch of “British weather”, the turnout was incredible. Families arrived from the early hours and stayed until the very last moment, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere throughout the day.

We opened with a vibrant Country Representative Parade, showcasing over 40 nationalities, led by a lively Chinese dragon. It set the tone for a day filled with performances that highlighted the talent and diversity of our community.

Our BSG Orchestra, student choir, dancers, PSG choir, student and staff bands, young Indian traditional dancers, karate performers, and more took to the stage one after another, offering a dynamic programme that kept the crowd captivated.

We are especially grateful to our dedicated BSG staff and Social Impact Team, who ran over 20 booths, organised games for children of all ages, and supported the event through the day. Your energy and commitment made the day run smoothly.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to our parent volunteers, who represented their countries with pride. Their booths showcased culture, tradition and cuisine, creating a campus filled with stories, heritage and global unity.

A highlight of this year’s event was the Art Silent Auction, a new addition that brought excitement right up to the final second. Parents and guests bid enthusiastically for stunning artworks created by our Primary and Secondary students.

We are delighted to share that this year’s International Day raised 72,000 RMB for our charity partner, Hopeful Hearts. This contribution will support young children in need of life‑saving heart surgery. We hope these funds will help give them a healthier future.

Our generous sponsors also played a key role with their fantastic lucky draw prizes, adding even more excitement to the day. 

Lastly, thank you to all members of the BSG and wider Guangzhou community for joining us and supporting this fundraising event. Your presence makes International Day one of the most meaningful celebrations at our school.
