From May 12th to 13th, the ISASC campus was buzzing with vitality and creativity as Grade 5 students stepped into their primary school highlight: the PYP Exhibition (PYPX)! More than a celebration of learning, it was a real show of student voice, choice, and action. Under the theme "Imprinting Our Legacy — We Care. We Act.", students anchored their everyday inquiries deeply within the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through creative practices, they channeled global issues into tangible local actions, proving that 10-year-olds can bring real change to their community and beautifully completing their transformation from mere "observers" to active "change-makers."

5月12日至13日,爱莎科学城校园内洋溢着蓬勃的朝气与创造力,五年级学生迎来了他们小学阶段的高光时刻:小学毕业成果展(PYPX)!这不仅是学习的庆典,更是展现“发声、选择与行动”的真实舞台。围绕“我们的印记——以关怀为心,以行动为证”的主题,孩子们从将日常探究深深植根于联合国可持续发展目标,用创造性的实践,将全球议题拆解为触手可及的本土行动。他们证明了十岁少年同样能为社区带来真实改变,完美完成了从“观察者”到“行动者”的蜕变。

The PYPX is the culminating showcase of the IB Primary Years Programme. Throughout this weeks-long journey, students not only synthesize transdisciplinary skills but also forge a deep personal connection to the topic, linking their personal concerns with the wider world. Through teamwork, they build a project that connects their inquiries, ultimately turning their learning into meaningful and authentic actions.

PYPX是国际文凭小学项目的终结性探究展示。在这场历时数周的旅程中,学生们不仅综合运用跨学科技能,更将个人的真实关切与世界相连,通过团队协作编织出属于自己的探究故事,最终落实为真诚且有意义的行动。



















The topics selected by our students this year included: Discrimination, Cyber-bullying, Friendship, Stress at School, Air Pollution, Climate Change, Animal Welfare, Animal Extinction, Stray Animals.

本次爱莎科学城学生选择的主题包括:反歧视,抵制网络暴力,构建健康友谊,缓解校园压力,防止空气污染,应对气候变化,捍卫动物福利,保护濒危动物,关爱流浪动物。


"Act" was the undisputed soul of the exhibition. This was more than a final presentation; it was a collective exercise in change: at ISASC, our students translated their learning into tangible impact, proactively sparking a wave of action across our campus and the wider community.

展览现场,“行动(Act)”是当之无愧的灵魂词汇。这不仅是一场成果汇报,更是一场关于改变的集体实践。在爱莎科学城,教育引导孩子们将所学转化为微小却坚实的改变,他们正以主动的姿态,在校园与社区中掀起阵阵行动的浪潮。

The Air Pollution group collected used cups school-wide to repurpose into planters, actively designing and greening the primary school garden. The Cyber-bullying team visited a child psychology center and recorded a powerful podcast packed with professional coping strategies. Meanwhile, the Discrimination group designed an original four-grid comic book and hosted an interactive game to dismantle stereotypes.

“防止空气污染”组在全校回收废弃杯子改造为盆栽,亲手规划并美化小学花园;“抵制网络暴力”组走访儿童心理中心,将专业应对方案录制成有声播客;“反歧视”组手绘四宫格漫画,用互动游戏打破成见。

The momentum did not stop there. The Stray Animals and Animal Welfare groups raised awareness via campus TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) posters and advocated for green consumerism like cage-free eggs. Other teams, focusing on Climate Change, Stress at School, and Friendship, showcased sponge city models, set up a decompression tent, and hosted friendship bracelet workshops. These vibrant outcomes filled the exhibition hall with a brilliant blend of academic depth and human warmth.

少年的脚步不止于此,“关爱流浪动物”“捍卫动物福利”组在校园推广TNR海报、深入社区宣讲绿色消费;“应对气候变化”“缓解校园压力”“构建健康友谊”等小组则通过微缩模型、解压帐篷和项链工作坊传递人文关怀。这些鲜活的成果,让展厅里充满了兼具学术深度与人文温度的行动光芒。


These stunning actions were no mere flashes of inspiration, but the fruits of systematic thinking cultivated through months of inquiry since last September. The clear, rich display boards beautifully mapped out their academic journey following the IB inquiry cycle.

惊艳的行动并非凭空的灵光一现,而是孩子们自去年九月起、历经数月系统探究沉淀出的思维果实。现场清晰丰富的展板,完整记录了他们遵循IB探究循环的学术脉络。


Guided by their teachers, students first established their topics through Line of Inquiry (LOI) 1, "What we care about." Next, through LOI 2, "How it affects us," they stepped outside the classroom to conduct field trips, interviews, and data gathering to analyze deep cause-and-effect relationships. This solid baseline research decoded the complex mechanics behind the issues, building a sturdy scientific foundation for the final 7 to 8 weeks of independent, action-focused inquiry.

在老师的引导下,孩子们首先通过探究线索一“我们在乎什么”确立课题;随后通过探究线索二“它如何影响我们”走出课堂,开展实地考察、人物访谈与数据调研,剖析深层因果。这些扎实的前期研究理清了问题背后的复杂机理,为最终长达7至8周的独立探究与“行动落地”构筑了牢固的科学底座。



Real-world inquiry is never a smooth path. In interviews, students openly shared the challenges they faced along the way. The ultimate test was successfully navigating the shift from teacher-led work to student-driven inquiry.

真实世界的探究从来都不是一条坦途。在采访中,孩子们也大方地分享了这一路上遇到的挑战。最大的考验,在于完成从“教师引导”到“学生主导”的跨越。

Confronted with massive data and literature, they had to verify authenticity while practicing steadily to explain complex issues in simple words to different audiences entirely in English. Facing display setup pressures, teammates learned to listen and leverage each other's strengths. These breakthroughs transformed them into independent thinkers and effective communicators, deepening their initial curiosity into true personal conviction and real action.

面对海量的数据与文献,他们不仅要甄别真伪,更需反复演练,学会如何用浅显易懂的语言向不同受众全英文阐述复杂的议题。面对布展压力,组员们在协作中学会了倾听与优势互补。这些突破让他们蜕变为具备独立思考与高效沟通能力的学习者,更让原本单纯的好奇心,深化为真正的个人信念与实际行动。


Behind this vibrant event was the heartwarming support of the entire ISASC community. From completing student questionnaires to hosting interviews, the wholehearted backing of parents, teachers, and staff gave our young learners the ultimate confidence to lead.

这场盛会背后,还涌动着整个爱莎社区温暖的托举力量。从问卷调查到互动访问,家校社区的全力支持,给予了孩子们最坚实的底气。

As a monumental milestone, the PYPX serves as the debut stage for ISASC students as true global citizens. On a campus that champions holistic education and diversity, these young learners possess a keen eye for real-world issues, a heart full of compassion, and the power to create change. This inquiry journey is far more than a mere presentation; it leaves a lasting "Just Do It" mindset to inspire every member of our community. Armed with the resilience, empathy, and sense of responsibility built along the way, they are ready to step forward confidently onto every future stage!

作为小学阶段的里程碑,PYPX是爱莎科学城学子作为“世界公民”的初舞台。在这座倡导全人教育与多元包容的校园里,他们眼中有现实关切,心中有大爱,手中有改变的力量。这场探究之旅不仅仅是一次汇报,更将作为一种“着手行动(Just Do It)”的实干印记,去启发社区中的每一份子。带这段旅程赋予的韧性、同理心与社会责任感,他们将以更自信的姿态奔赴未来的每一个舞台!
