近期,广州斐特思五年级的Kelly Wen、八年级的Jenny Liu,十年级的Jacky Yang三位同学,荣获2025–2026年度COBIS学生成就奖。

Recently, three students from Fettes College Guangzhou — Kelly Wen from Grade 5, Jenny Liu from Grade 8, and Jacky Yang from Grade 10 — received the 2025–2026 COBIS Student Achievement Awards.

COBIS (Council of British International Schools)

COBIS represents a global network of over 450 British international schools worldwide. Each recipient reflects the values of British international education and highlights the remarkable potential of young people to make a meaningful impact.

砺行致远的践行者——Kelly Wen

Kelly Wen — A Student Who Leads Through Action


Kelly是五年级的“温暖榜样”。


她学业优异,却从不以此为傲。


作为学生会艺术部长,她常以学生会成员的身份,参与小学部的日常管理。


如礼仪检查、跑操引导等工作,并深度参与创建小学部广播站——从设计海报到招募成员,再到亲自担任播音员。

Kelly is an exemplary student who blends academic excellence with outstanding character. She consistently excels across all subjects, demonstrating focus, curiosity, and a strong dedication to learning.

Beyond her academic achievements, Kelly is widely recognised as a role model for kindness and respect. As a dedicated member of the Student Council, she actively serves her peers and makes meaningful contributions to school life. Her thoughtful leadership and empathetic communication make her a natural ambassador for the values we uphold.

Kelly also played a pivotal role in establishing the Primary School broadcasting station. She contributed to poster design, recruited members, and even worked as a student broadcaster herself, showcasing her creativity, initiative, and teamwork skills.


最动人的一幕,是她在耐心陪伴一位二年级的小广播员,用手指着一个个字,带她读顺稿子。在同学们需要帮助时,Kelly总是第一个说:“我可以,我来吧。”


获得COBIS学生成就奖时,Kelly说的最多的词是“开心”。这份开心背后,是一份来自集体的认可。Kelly用自己的行动证明,真正的领导力不是权力,而是团队协作与包容中,主动解决问题。

One particularly touching moment is how Kelly spends time each week helping a Grade 2 student broadcaster practise reading scripts. With patience and care, she points to each word, gently guiding the younger student through the text. Whenever her classmates need help, Kelly is often the first to say, “I can do it. Let me help.”

When reflecting on receiving the COBIS Student Achievement Award, the word Kelly used most often was “happy.” Behind this happiness lies the recognition and support of her school community.

Kelly truly embodies the spirit of Industria through both her accomplishments and the example she sets every day.

富有同理心与社会责任感——Jenny Liu

Jenny Liu — A Student with 

Empathy and Social Responsibility


Jenny发起并领导了一项旨在改善欠发达地区教育机会的公益项目。


最初,她和团队只想到捐赠物资。但深入了解国家乡村振兴工作后,Jenny调整了方向。依托学校双语教学的优势,团队设计了一系列英语主题活动。


这些活动不仅有趣,更能在真实的场景中激发偏远地区孩子们对英语的兴趣。再以活动奖励的形式,为孩子们提供生活实用的物资。


Jenny说:"能通过自己真正所做的事,为需要帮助的人带来可持续的改变。我未来会继续发展公益类的社区帮助项目,同时在学业上保持现有成绩,持续努力。"

Jenny is an outstanding academic performer and the top student in her grade. She consistently demonstrates intellectual curiosity, advanced critical thinking, and an exceptional work ethic.

Jenny initiated and led a community project aimed at improving educational opportunities in underdeveloped areas. Initially, her team planned to simply donate supplies. However, after learning more about China’s rural revitalisation efforts, Jenny decided to redirect the project’s focus.

Leveraging FCG’s bilingual education environment, the team created a series of English-themed activities. These activities were not only designed to be enjoyable but also aimed to inspire children in rural areas to develop an interest in English through real-life contexts. To further engage participants, the team provided practical daily supplies as rewards for their participation.

Jenny reflected, “Being able to create real and lasting change for people who need help through the things I do is very meaningful to me. In the future, I hope to continue developing community service projects while maintaining my academic performance and continuing to work hard.”

Jenny exemplifies academic excellence, leadership, and a strong sense of purpose.

在奉献中实现自我成长——Jacky Yang

Jacky Yang — Growing Through Service to Others


作为广州斐特思志愿者团队负责人,他组织过校园文明督导、图书馆整理、新生引导、环保清扫等服务活动。


也带队走进社区开展敬老慰问、义务支教、公益义卖等项目,还在运动会、文艺汇演等大型活动中负责统筹协调志愿者。


"我原本性格内向腼腆,现在变得更开朗、有责任心,懂得换位思考。我不再只关注自身得失,明白了付出也是一种收获。" Jacky说。


Jacky将这份荣誉视为新的起点。


“它既是对我过往在学业、志愿活动、综合素养上付出的肯定,更是一份责任和鞭策。未来我会继续保持自律和热忱,在学业上精进自己,在志愿和公益中继续传递温暖,也努力以更高标准要求自己,不负这份荣誉,也希望能用自身行动影响身边更多同学一起成长。”

Jacky has made an extraordinary contribution to both our school and the wider community through his unwavering dedication to service and leadership.

As the leader of the FCG volunteer team, Jacky has organised numerous service activities, including campus discipline support, library organisation, student orientation, and environmental clean-up projects. He has also led students into the local community to visit elderly residents, run volunteer teaching programmes, and organise charity sales.

In addition to these efforts, Jacky has played a key role in coordinating volunteers during large school events such as sports days and performances, ensuring that everything runs smoothly.

“I used to be shy and quiet,” Jacky said. “Now I’ve become more outgoing, responsible, and understanding of others. I no longer focus only on my own gains and losses. I’ve realised that giving is also a kind of reward.”

Jacky views this award as a new beginning. “It is both recognition of my efforts in academics, volunteering, and personal development, and a responsibility that motivates me to keep improving. In the future, I will remain disciplined and passionate, work harder academically, continue spreading warmth through volunteering and charity work, and hold myself to higher standards. I also hope my actions can inspire more students around me to grow together.”

His commitment, organisational skills, and selfless service exemplify collaboration, responsibility, and a deeply rooted Industria mindset.
