On Wednesday, we celebrated the culmination of this year’s PIMS (Primary Instrumental Music Scheme) programme for our Year 5 and Year 6 students.
After a year of hard work, perseverance, and musical growth, the students showcased their learning in a special performance in front of their peers, demonstrating the progress they have made on a wide range of instruments. We enjoyed performances from violinists, flautists, clarinettists, trumpeters, trombonists, and cellists, all of whom performed with confidence and enthusiasm.
The occasion was made even more special by the participation of some of our staff members. A particular well done to Mr McCutcheon, Mr Elsmore, and the whole Music Department who joined the students in demonstrating that learning a new instrument is something that can be enjoyed at any age!

Our sincere thanks must go to our dedicated team of PIMS teachers: Mr Ryan, Ms Cici, Ms Angie, Mr Elvis, Mr Leonard, and Ms Jingjing. Their expertise, encouragement, and commitment throughout the year have helped our students achieve so much.
We are delighted that a number of students have already chosen to continue their musical journeys through individual instrumental lessons. Learning an instrument is a rewarding and lifelong skill, developing creativity, discipline, confidence, and resilience.
If your child is interested in continuing with instrumental lessons or would like to begin learning a new instrument, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the Music and Performing Arts Department (nathaniel.brawnbsg.org.cn) for further information.
Congratulations to all of our PIMS students on a fantastic year of music-making. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and look forward to seeing where their musical journeys take them next!
