Summer School Week 1 Highlights | A Super Start!

What an amazing first week of Summer School at The British School of Guangzhou! 

Our Hero Academy and Super Squad students have settled in brilliantly, making new friends, building confidence and diving straight into an exciting world of learning.

From superhero adventures  to music , cooking , sports  and hands-on STEAM challenges —the school has been full of energy, creativity and smiles all week long!

Hero Academy (Our Young Superstars)

Our youngest heroes have been busy:

· Learning phonics and creating their own superhero stories
· Designing colourful capes and masks
· Building obstacle courses and experimenting with ice paints
· Singing action songs and exploring instruments
· Making superhero snacks like Captain America shields

They even performed their superhero song with confidence at assembly—amazing!

Super Squad (Our Rising Heroes)

Our older students have taken on exciting challenges:

· Bringing Batman and the Minotaur to life and designing their own villains
· Creating Pop Art superhero portraits inspired by Andy Warhol
· Designing and testing parachutes for superhero landings
· Learning recorder and performing music with confidence
·  Staying active with Hero Fitness and enjoying Splash Day
·  Making delicious superhero-themed treats

A Proud Start

It has been wonderful to see: 

· New friendships forming
· Confidence growing
· Creativity shining

We are so proud of all our superheroes and can’t wait for an even more exciting Week 2!
