Our Academic scholarship covers up to 100% of the tuition fee. Its mission is to nurture pupils who exhibit outstanding academic performance, leadership potential and unfailing kindness to their peers.
Our holistic education encourages well-rounded development, so this scholarship is targeted at pupils who exhibit outstanding performance in the arts, sports and music.

Wellington College China scholarships open doors to outstanding achievements in school and beyond. In 2022, pupils at Wellington College Tianjin and Wellington College International Shanghai obtained impressive university offers from Oxbridge and Ivy League schools. 64% of our pupils achieved A* or A in A-Level exams, an average score of 39.2 in IB exams and even a top score of 45 out of 45. Our scholars achieved brilliance and have been widely popular with world-class universities. Pupils at Wellington College Hangzhou also performed excellence in their IGCSE exam in 2022 – 73% of the scores were A* or A and 59% were A*, the highest grade and the by far the most common grade achieved by our pupils. We are also confident that our new senior pupils in our Hangzhou campus will achieve academic excellence in the near future.
Wellington College China scholarships aim to inspire more pupils to realise their potential and share their growth and success with the public. Our Wellington and Huili pupils, who are well-rounded individuals with solid school values of courage, respect, integrity, kindness and responsibility and skills, will contribute to the communication of East and West and the international community's development. Recent research from Keystone Tutors UK reveals that among the most influential figures in politics, economics, culture, science and technology (i.e. as listed in the data publication Who’s Who), 14% graduated from Wellington College UK and nine other private schools in the UK.
