Throughout this semester, we have upheld the core principles of International Baccalaureate (IB) education, which is dedicated to cultivating well-rounded students. IB education emphasizes critical thinking, a global perspective, and interdisciplinary learning, all of which have been integral to our teaching practices.


From classroom discussions to extracurricular activities, we have consistently encouraged students to explore actively and innovate boldly, ensuring every child thrives in a multicultural environment.


亲爱的天启各社群成员们:


在这个学期里,我们秉持着国际文凭(IB)教育的核心理念,致力于培养全面发展的学生。IB教育强调批判性思维、全球视野和跨学科的学习方式,这些理念在我们的教学实践中得到了充分体现。

The First Day of School

开学日


On February 26th, we eagerly welcomed the long-awaited first day of school. The lion dance team presented a performance and blessings, celebrating BKIK’s students embarking once again on a new journey of learning.


在2月26日,我们迎来了期盼已久的开学日。舞狮队伍献上表演和祝福,庆祝天启学生们再次踏上新一轮的学习旅程。

K2 Educational Activity: Clothing Recycling Campaign

中班探究活动:衣物回收宣讲


Under the IB transdisciplinary theme "Sharing the Planet," students from K2 organized a meaningful "Recycling Resources" activity. They encouraged all teachers and students to take action by gathering unused clothing from home and bringing it to the school.


根据IB超学科主题“共享地球”,K2年级的学生们开展了一场有意义的“资源回收”活动。他们倡议全员师生积极行动起来,把家中闲置的衣物打包送至学校。



The K2 students participated in environmental awareness campaigns and handed over the collected clothing to environmental workers for transport to recycling factories. This initiative aimed to promote environmental conservation and ensure that recyclable resources are truly reused.


K2的学生参加了保护环境的宣讲活动,并将回收的衣物交由环保工作人员装车送往再生工厂,以实现环保再生,让可回收的资源真正地实现二次再次利用。




K1 Educational Excursion: Aquarium Visit

小班外出探究活动:游览正佳海洋馆


The K1 students explored the mysteries of underwater ecology and marine life, integrating the IB interdisciplinary theme 'Sharing the Planet' from Unit Three. Together, teachers and students in our K1 delved into the diverse forms of global marine life found.


As a result, our students visited a local aquarium to observe marine creatures first-hand, learning about their habitats and increasing their awareness of environmental conservation.


我们结合第三单元的IB超学科主题“共享地球”,探索水下生态和海洋生物的奥秘。小班的老师和学生一起展开认识世界各地不同类型的海洋生物及其多样化的形态。


因此小班的学生们走进海洋馆,亲眼观察海洋生物,了解它们的生态环境,同时提高他们保护环境的意识。




Bilingual Flag-raising Ceremony

双语升旗仪式


On March 18th, we held our first bilingual flag-raising ceremony of the semester.


Each month, we hosted a flag-raising ceremony where students from the K2 and K3 classes took turns hosting in both Chinese and English. This served as language practice and cultivated the students' confidence and a sense of collective pride.


在3月18日,我们举行了本学期的第一个双语升旗仪式。


我们每个月举行一次升旗仪式,由中大班的学生以中英双语的形式轮流主持。这不仅是两文三语的实际应用,也是培养学生自信心和集体荣誉感的机会。




Spring Field Trip

春游活动


During the annual BKIK spring outing, we visited the Auswor theme park for a botanical and zoological study program. This activity provided students with a rich learning opportunity to observe and study up-close the ecological behaviors of various plants and animals.


一年一度的春游活动里,我们来到了七彩澳游世界进行植物和动物的研学活动。这次活动为学生们提供了一个丰富的学习机会,他们可以近距离观察和学习各种植物和动物的生态习性。



Through field studies, the students had the chance to interact directly with and understand biodiversity, delving into the adaptability and survival strategies of various animal and plant species—a first-hand experience that textbooks cannot fully capture.


通过实地学习,学生们可以直接接触和了解生物多样性,深入探索不同物种的适应性和生存策略,这些都是课本上无法完全呈现的真实体验。

Food Representatives Meeting

膳食委员会


On April 10th, we invited the food representatives to visit our kitchen and personally prepare afternoon tea snacks to be delivered to each class.


在4月10日,我们邀请了各班的膳食委员入园,参观厨房并亲自制作下午茶点送往各班。



During the meeting, the food representatives gained a detailed understanding of the preparation process and the strict hygiene standards maintained by the catering team.


They expressed appreciation for the efforts made by the catering team in ensuring meals at our school are not only hygienic but also nutritious and delicious.


在会议上,膳食委员们详细了解了天启餐食的准备过程和严格的卫生标准,对于天启膳食在兼顾卫生、营养和美味方面所做的努力表示肯定。




PreK Educational Excursion: Making Pizzas

小小班外出探究活动:做披萨


On April 12th, the PreK students of the PreK Class explored the theme of "food" by visiting Pizza Hut to experience making pizzas.


Through hands-on activities, they gained a deeper understanding of the pizza-making process and the selection of ingredients, promoting their awareness of food and healthy eating habits.


在4月12日,小小班的学生们在“食物”的主题下,前往必胜客体验做披萨。


通过实际操作深入了解披萨的制作过程和食材的选择,同时促进他们对食物的认知和健康饮食意识。




K3’s Educational Excursion: Visiting South China Botanical Garden

大班外出探究活动:参观中国科学院华南植物园


In line with the theme "Global Warming and the Greenhouse Effect," the K3 students visited the South China Botanical Garden for an outdoor exploration activity. By observing plants, they gained insight into the importance of environmental conservation.


为结合主题“全球变暖,温室效应”,大班的学生前往华南植物园进行外出探究活动。通过观察植物,了解环境保护的重要性。

On April 17th, BKIK invited parent representatives from each class to attend a parent-representative meeting at our school.


During the meeting, for the first time, we utilized group discussion to facilitate in-depth exchanges and discussions between parents and the school management team on topics such as managing screen time for children, creating an English-learning environment, and enriching campus activities.


This meeting not only fostered close collaboration between home and school but, also underscored our shared commitment to promoting holistic development and academic progress for our students.


在4月17日,我们邀请各班的家长代表入园,举行了家长代表会议。


在会议上,我们首次应用小组讨论的形式,家长们与天启管理人员就孩子的屏幕时间管理、英文学习环境以及校园活动的丰富性等议题进行了深入交流和讨论。


这次会议不仅促进了家校之间的密切合作,共同关注和推动孩子们的全面发展和学习进步。




Reading Month

阅读月


April was BKIK's Reading Month. During this special month, we organized a range of diverse reading activities such as storytelling sessions, picture book reading clubs, English dramas, and music story sessions.


四月是我们的阅读月。在阅读月里,我们举行了一系列丰富多彩的阅读活动,如故事爸妈、绘本阅读会、英文话剧、音乐故事会等。



Each reading session provided an opportunity for learning, expression, and interaction. BKIK firmly believes, "Today a reader, tomorrow a leader" and through collaborative efforts between home and school, we aim to create an environment rich in reading culture. This helps cultivate good reading habits among our students.


每一次阅读都是学习、表达和互动的机会。我们深信“今天是阅读者,明天是领导者”,希望通过家校努力,为学生们营造一个充满阅读氛围的环境,以此培养他们良好的阅读习惯。



International Day

国际日


To celebrate the IB principle of "international-mindedness" and align with our annual theme, we organized International Week activities during the last week of April, culminating in an International Day garden celebration on April 29th.


During the celebration, students enthusiastically participated in various games and crafts, sampled international cuisines, and enjoyed the pleasures of cross-cultural exchange. These activities laid the foundation for them to become global citizens with a broad worldview.


为了庆祝IB所倡导的“国际情怀”理念,并配合全年活动主题,我们在四月的最后一周进行了国际周活动,并于4月29日举办了国际日游园庆典。


在游园庆典上,学生们积极参与各种游戏和手工艺活动,品尝异国美食,享受跨文化交流的乐趣,为他们成为具有全球视野的世界公民打下基础。

Students Pathway Activities

幼小衔接讲座


To provide parents with more school options, we invited various types of primary schools to our campus for talks on early childhood education and to answer parents' questions.


Additionally, we held a session where current parents shared their experiences and perspectives on their children attending different types of primary schools. This allowed us to offer parents a diverse range of perspectives and insights.


为了提供更多的择校选择给家长,我们邀请了不同类型的小学来园进行幼小衔接讲座,解答家长们对小学教育的疑问。


同时,我们还举行了旧生家长分享会,邀请了孩子就读于不同类型的小学的旧生家长,通过分享他们的经验和观点,为家长们提供多元化的视角和参考。




Sports Day

On May 30th, we held our annual sports day with the theme "Super Mario". Students experienced the fun of innovation and adventure by imitating characters and challenges from the game.


The sports day vividly embodied the holistic development principles of IB education, providing students with a unique experience that combined sports, games, and education.


在5月30日,我们举行了一年一度的运动会。运动会以“超级马里奥”为主题,学生们通过模仿游戏中的角色和挑战,体验到了创新和冒险的乐趣。


运动会是IB教育全面发展理念的生动体现,为学生们提供了一个结合体育、游戏和教育的独特体验。




Reading Assembly

阅读集会


During the afternoon, after sports day, we held a reading assembly to celebrate our achievements in reading. Teachers showcased the students' accomplishments and progress in reading activities, instilling in them a lifelong belief in the importance of reading.


在运动会同日的下午,我们举行了阅读集会,以庆祝我们取得的阅读成果。老师向学生们展示了他们在阅读活动中取得的成就和进步,为学生树立终身阅读的信念。

K2 Educational Excursion: Visiting Museum

中班外出探究活动:游览华农文博馆


Under the interdisciplinary theme "How We Organize Ourselves," K2 students explored the South China Agricultural University Museum and its yogurt culture museum.


Through this excursion, we aimed to enable students to apply map skills in practical situations, develop problem-solving abilities, and strengthen their understanding and connection to their community and the world.


中班的学生们在超学科主题“我们如何组织自己”下,进行了外出探究活动,参观了华南农业大学文博馆和其酸奶文化馆。


我们希望通过此次探究活动,学生们能在实际体验中运用地图技能,培养解决问题的能力,增强对社区和世界的理解与联系。




Dragon Boat Festival Activity

端午节活动


Before the Dragon Boat Festival, we held activities at the school to educate students about its significance. They learned traditional customs like making zongzi and hanging mugwort leaves in class, aiming to experience and preserve this important aspect of Chinese culture.


在端午节来临前,我们在园内举行了端午节活动。学生们在课堂上了解端午节的来园,学习如何包粽子、挂艾叶等传统习俗,以体验和传承这一中华文化的重要节日。




PreK Educational Excursion: Visiting Museum

小小班外出探究活动:参观博物馆


In PreK Class, students explored museums under the IB interdisciplinary theme "How We Organize Ourselves," focusing on discovering the ubiquity of colors. The activity aimed to help students understand the use and significance of colors while fostering their observational and creative skills.


小小班的学生们在超学科主题“我们如何组织自己”下,外出探究参观了博物馆。在博物馆中,学生们发现了色彩无处不在。从大自然的斑斓色彩到文化艺术中的丰富色调,每一种颜色都在传递着独特的信息。


我们希望通过这次活动,让学生们理解色彩的运用和意义,培养他们的观察力和创造力。




Graduation Ceremony

On June 15th, BKIK celebrated the 8th annual graduation ceremony for the senior class. It was a momentous occasion where we collectively witnessed the milestone of our children's growth and looked forward to their limitless future possibilities.


在6月15日,汇悦天启幼儿园迎来了第八届大班毕业典礼。在这一时刻,我们共同见证孩子们成长的里程碑,并展望他们未来的无限可能。




Graduation Field Trip

On June 21st, the K3 students embarked on a graduation trip to Imperial Springs, where they enjoyed activities such as swimming, golfing, and visiting museums. Accompanied by teachers and parents, they had an educational and fun-filled journey.


在6月21日,大班的学生们踏上了前往从都国际庄园的毕业游之旅,体验戏水、高尔夫、参观博物馆等活动。在老师和家长的陪伴下,度过一个充满教育意义和趣味十足的旅程。




One-on-one Parent-Teacher Meeting

On January 26th, we held one-on-one parent-teacher meetings. Parents engaged in deep discussions with teachers about their children's growth, fostering a thorough exchange and resonance with the core principles of IB education. This allowed parents to gain a comprehensive understanding of their children's performance at school.


在1月26日,我们举行了一对一家长会。家长与教师展开了关于孩子成长的深入对话,IB教育的核心理念得到了充分交流和共鸣,家长们更全面地了解了孩子在学校的表现。

Whole Year Unit End of Year Celebration

全年单元年终庆祝活动


On July 4th, to celebrate the achievements of the students as well as following the IB learner profiles, we held a Whole Year Unit End of Year Celebration.


In the assembly, the students and staff will look at the events of the past academic year and reflect on the fun and achievements they had.


在7月4日,为了庆祝学生取得的成就以及关注IB学习者的概况,我们举行了全年单元年终庆祝活动。全体学生和老师一起回顾本学年的活动,庆祝取得的成就和乐趣。




End-of-term Activities

期末活动


On the last week of the semester, students from each class participated in end-of-term celebration activities within the campus. The event aimed to cherish the time they spent together with their classmates and celebrate the upcoming journey into new learning experiences.


在学期的最后一周,各班的学生们在校园内进行了期末庆祝活动,旨在让孩子们珍惜与同学们共度的时光,并庆祝他们即将踏上新的学习旅程。






As we reflect on the moments of this academic year, they are not just memories of stories but also moments of growth and inspiration experienced under the guidance of the IB curriculum.


Looking ahead, guided by these values, we will continue to explore a broader world and embrace greater challenges. Let us move forward into the next academic year with confidence, maintaining an open mindset as we pursue excellence.


当我们回顾这学年的点滴时,不仅仅是记忆中的一段段故事,更是我们在IB课程的指导下所经历的成长与启发。
