Early Years: Being Principled｜幼儿部：坚持原则

This week in Foundation and Kindergarten 1, students explored the concept of being principled through their zoo animals topic. They learned to respect and care for animals, focusing on responsibility. They also recognised the animals by listening to the sounds they make, deepening their connection to the creatures and reinforcing their understanding of empathy and care.

The K2 students showed respect for the environment by observing natural surroundings and discussing ways to help frogs. They worked together, sharing ideas and taking turns while exploring the frog life cycle. Their enthusiasm for learning was clear as they asked questions and shared their discoveries.

This week in Kindergarten 3, the children began to explore different types of seeds. They put their literacy skills into practice and observed the seeds of different fruits, describing the size, colour and shape. Following on from this, we discovered how a seed begins to grow, noting the different parts of a plant.

Music Time in Early Years was so much fun. In Foundation and Kindergarten 1, students continued to explore the ocean sound, and this time they learned the ocean drum sound. The children discovered and opened their minds to the connection of the ocean waves to the human experience. Meanwhile, Kindergarten 2 explored and discovered another instrument from another country. This time, we went to West Africa and tried to play and learn how to play the Djembe Drum.
