我们即将在学校剧院完成首次全自制戏剧的演出，这真是令人感到无比自豪。要将改编版的“圣诞颂歌（A Christmas Carol）”这场戏剧搬上校园舞台，应运而生的是我们创建了自己的剧团“莱克顿舞台人（The Lucton Luvvies）”。我们的老师们和学生们都竭尽全力参与到了这场充满挑战的戏剧演出工作中，他们无疑是勇敢的。我想衷心地表示感谢。

It is with great pride we are presenting the first in-house production at Lucton School Shanghai. Bringing this adaptation of 'A Christmas Carol' to the stage required us to create our very own theatre company, 'The Lucton Luvvies'. Staff and students have endeavoured to produce this challenging play and to everyone who has been brave enough to accompany us on this journey, I sincerely thank you.

“圣诞颂歌”这出戏剧围绕着一个心胸狭窄又自私的老头埃比尼泽·斯克鲁奇展开，他很讨厌圣诞节。圣诞前夜当他回到家的时候，以前的一个名叫雅各布·马雷的生意伙伴化作鬼魂来看他，而后，过去的圣诞、现在的圣诞和未来的圣诞也化作另外三个鬼魂分别拜访了他！

这场戏讲述了一个没有圣诞精神、失去人性温暖的可怜人的灵魂救赎。主人公斯克鲁奇从一个孤独且吝啬的放贷商人转变为一位慷慨的社区领导者，描绘出关爱和同理心对于每个人生活的重要性。

相信我们都能从查尔斯·狄更斯笔下的经典人物中得到特别的感悟。

A Christmas Carol is a play about a mean-spirited and selfish old man, Ebenezer Scrooge, who hates Christmas. When Scrooge gets home, he is visited by the ghost of his old business partner, Jacob Marley – and then by three ghosts! They are the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future.

This is a play about the redemption of a man who had long lost his spirit of Christmas and sense of humanity. Scrooge's transformation from a greedy and lonely money lender into a generous leader of the community illustrates the importance of love and compassion in everyone's life.

We can all learn something from Charles Dickens' immortal character.
