开学第一天，校长和老师已早早地在校门口迎接学生的归来，原本安静的校园瞬间变得热闹非凡。一个假期没见，学生们都长高了不少哦！
It's so nice to have the children back! The campus is abuzz with lots of excitement. The school year opens with warm greetings from the teachers at the front gate. Wow! Most of our students have grown taller!
Assembly 安全与健康知识讲座
开学第一课，TWIS一如既往地展开了安全与健康知识的普及，在老师的带领下练习清洗双手的步骤，指引学生若身体不适应该怎么做。
Our first assembly is all about how we can stay safe and healthy as always at TWIS. We practice hand-washing techniques and what to do if we don't feel well.
Homeroom 课堂活动
回到各自的教室后，老师们准备了一些破冰活动，以增进大家的了解。学生们在课堂上讨论必要的政策以达成共识，以及学习如何前往其他的教室。
Then in their respective homeroom, teachers prepared some ice-breakers and getting-to-know-you activities. Students came up with essential agreements in classes; and discussed procedures inside the classrooms, and transitioning to other classrooms.
Playground 游乐场
我们的体育老师给学生介绍了新的体育设施，让学生们学会遵循规定、保护自己和他人安全的同时，鼓励学生勇敢探索。
Our PE teachers introduced to students the way they can enjoy our new playground, ensuring they are confident to explore and, are aware of their own and others' safety.
Assessments 开学考试评估
学生们还进行了大量的考试评估，以明晰他们目前的英语和数学水平。
Lots of assessments took place as well to determine where students are right now in English and mathematics.
Pastoral Care 心理辅导
当然，心理辅导员会给学生们一些实用的建议，告诉他们如何顺利过渡到返校生活，包括自我冷静的技巧和建立积极的人际关系。

Of course, our counselor worked with students to give them some practical tips on how to have a smooth back-to-school routine, including self-calming techniques and building positive relationships.
We are looking forward to the second week of school!
