As British mathematician, philosopher and educational theorist Alfred North Whitehead said in the book The Aims of Education: “Students are alive, and the purpose for education is to stimulate and guide their self-development.” This is the very essence of our school’s educational philosophy.

We believe that the key to education is empowerment, and that the role of schools is to provide students with enriched experiences in the classroom and beyond. Our school aims to provide students with opportunities to fulfill their academic potential, developing fluency in Mandarin and English and becoming well-rounded, confident and self-disciplined independent thinkers. They will become young people who are favoured by the world's top universities who will go onto lead rich and fulfilling lives.

We understand that many families are looking forward to visiting our campus and meeting our Chinese and foreign faculty in person. We are also anticipating with excitement the chance to meet you on campus, as spring finally starts to arrive.

Wuxi Dipont School of Arts and Science (formerly Nanwai King's College School Wuxi) is a learning community that integrates the best of international and Chinese education. The school was founded with the strong support of the Wuxi local government, through a partnership between two world-leading schools – Nanjing Foreign Language School, China and King’s College School, Wimbledon, UK. This partnership is supported by school management experts from Dipont Education, which has been providing high quality international programmes in China for more than a decade.

All partners involved aim to build a “school of the future” which focuses on providing a well-rounded education. The student-centred approach adopted at Nanjing Foreign Language School, together with the holistic educational philosophy of King's College Wimbledon, underpin the ethos of our school. Wuxi Dipont School of Arts and Science strives to educate Chinese and international pupils aged 3 to 18 years old to be well-rounded, innovative, and collaborative individuals, capable of appreciating their own, and others’, cultures and traditions. They will understand the importance of a world view and an international perspective in order to make a positive contribution to society in the future.

Since the foundation of our school, our two graduating classes have received many impressive offers from some of the world's top universities, including the University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, University of Chicago, Northwestern, Imperial College London，Waseda University, the University of Hong Kong. Seventy per cent of our first cohort of graduates have been accepted by the world's top 30 universities, collectively receiving scholarships worth of more than ¥2.8 million.
