Prelude 序言

This year's spring came early. Not long ago, the spring breeze was still a little harsh, but the sun was shining and everyone was looking forward to the new season.

今年的春天来得格外的早。不久前中国年活动举办当天，春风依旧有些许料峭，阳光却是灿烂的很，并且所有人都怀揣着对春天的期待。

Every day is new, and things will get better every day.

每一天都会是新的，每一天都只会更好。

Just like 11th Grade´s Ada.

就像11年级的Ada一样。

Adahas just completed a huge project -directing the Chinese New Year's final drama, "Tang Palace Feast". This drama utilized many students from the sixth grade to the eleventh grade. The dance was rehearsed from the end of last year to the beginning of this year. During the preparation, she seemed to have three heads and six arms, which helped her to manage her academic workload and constant rehearsals. During the performance, she was like a flying crane - so elegant!

Ada才完成了一项堪称浩大的工程——担任中国年活动压轴大戏《唐宫盛宴》的总导演。这一出戏剧集合了从六年级到十一年级的众多学生，舞蹈从去年的冬末一直练到了今年的春初。筹备时，她似乎有三头六臂，平衡了繁重的学业与琐碎的排练。演出时，她就像是一只翩飞的鹤，优雅无匹。

Been in CISK for 5 years

When she was a child, she thought of herself as introverted.

这样的她，在说起小时候时，形容自己却是：内向。

"When I graduated from primary school to middle school, I was actually very introverted, and I didn't dare to express my inner thoughts. English communication was difficult. I had a strong dependence on my friends, and I was embarrassed to turn anyone down."

“小升初的时候其实是非常内向的，也不敢表达自己内心的想法，英语沟通也会相对来说比较困难，对朋友有很强的信任和依赖，很不好意思拒绝别人。”

Now, Ada can express herself confidently. She likes to participate in events and strives to compete in competitions. She tends to be very happy with her efforts regardless of whether she wins or not.

而现在的Ada，已经可以很自信地展示自己了。她喜欢参加活动，也乐于参加比赛，不论结果，她都会非常满足。

Growing from "inside" to "outside", she has expanded her world and enriched her life. As an IB student, she likes to plan and list what needs to be completed. She finds that the best opportunity to participate in enrichment activities is during the holidays. Of course, she also has to plan in advance in order to manage her time. This is also Ada’s advice to students. Time management is very important. Do not procrastinate. All changes have long roads. The blooming flower needs to go through long-term development, and that is Ada at this moment.

从“内”至“外”，扩展了她的世界，也丰富了她的生活。随之而来的，便是自我管理的加强。作为IB学子，她喜欢做规划，将需要完成的事情列下来，假期这样的参加活动的最好机会，她当然也要提前计划，报名。这也是Ada给学弟学妹的建议，时间管理非常重要，千万不要有拖延症。所有的变化都是早有征兆，一朵花的绽放需要经历长久的孕蕾，而Ada此刻，正在花期。

关键词二：体验

When Ada completely applies herself, it means there are more and varied experiences in her life. She is not a "method", but part of the “experience.”

当Ada将自己完全打开，就意味着她的生活里会有更多不同的体验。她可不是一个“方法派”，是一个实打实的“体验派”。

At school, she likes to participate in charity activities. Whether it is a winter charity sale or the Chinese New Year's Temple Fair, she organizes for students by buying cute objects, tasting food, making donations, and spreading goodwill. All are real and rich experiences.

在校内，她喜欢参与慈善义卖活动。无论是冬季的慈善义卖，还是新春的中国年庙会，都是学生们的活动。买可爱的小物件，品尝美食，捐款，传播善意，这些经历足够真实，也足够丰富。

The other is the drama festival. For Ada, this is a precious opportunity to experience different characters. During this drama performance, Ada was not only a "performer", but also the "director".

另一个就是戏剧节了，对Ada来说，这是一个很珍贵的机会，可以去体验角色以及不同的人物性格。此次的戏剧演出，Ada不仅“演”，也在“导”。

When talking about the performance, Ada had so much to say. "Feeling drained is the best description. From writing scripts to quoting classics, and then working out the details, there are so many things to do. Emergencies can happen at any time, which needs me to prepare a backup scheme in advance or to be flexible."

谈及此次演出时，Ada 可太有话说。“累是最真实的感受。这个项目从写剧本到引用经典，再到打磨时一点一点抠细节，背后的东西多到无法想象，随时有突发状况发生，要给出备选方案。或者随机应变。”

The directing and acting of the characters are not enough. You cannot have a deep experience without deep participation in the whole process. Behind complex activities is a large amount of hard work, and those efforts bring huge gains.

体验并不是浅尝辄止地扮演即可，深入全程才能有最深切的体会。复杂的活动背后是海量的疲倦，海量的疲倦带来的则是无与伦比的收获。

Ada's experience is not only inside the school. Outside the school, she also takes part in corporate affairs. "There are more experiences at that level, beyond the textbooks, which fascinate me so much."

Ada的体验之旅并不止于校内，在校外，她也会去企业看谈生意的场面。“那里的实际经验比课本更多，让我着迷。”

Ada also hopes that schools can provide more opportunities, such as organizing Spring outings or communicating with foreign countries. During school, she says students should not only be learning from books but also be exposed more to the outside world.

Ada也希望学校能够提供更多的体验机会，比如组织年级春游，或者与国外交流，在校期间不只是学习书本的知识，也应该更多地接触外面的世界。

关键词三：创造

After these changes and experiences, Ada discovered a new path: creativity. In school courses, her favorite is the visual art class.

经历了变化，获得了体验，Ada又发掘了一条新的道路，那就是创造。在学校课程中，她最喜欢的就是视觉艺术课。

When talking about why that is, she notes, "Because it allows me more opportunities for independent expression, I am doing sculpture now. Having little experience before, it tends to be difficult to shape the character's facial features. I can only say that constantly exploring and trying is the only way to overcome this problem."

“因为它让我拥有更多自主创造的机会。我现在在做sculpture嘛，在以前没有接触过的情况下，在人物五官塑造上会比较困难。只能说，不断摸索，不断尝试，才能克服这个问题。”在谈及喜欢这门课程的原因时，她这样说到。

Yes, creation is fascinating. This seems to lead her in her search for her future direction.

是的，创造使人着迷。这一点似乎也引导着她找到了未来的方向。

In second grade, Ada participated in a video shoot for a group of promotional videos. She realized that she enjoyed being in front of the camera and creating a beautiful image. Since then, she has been doing career planning in the direction of the actor, to learn real knowledge, and accumulate more experience.

在二年级时，Ada参与了一次拍摄，那是一组宣传片，她意识到，她很享受从容地出现在镜头前，创造一个形象，创造美。从那以后她就一直朝着演员这个方向做职业规划，学习真正的知识，积累更多。

She has also tried to shoot micro-movies. But now, she no longer limits herself. She does these for the experience. Now, she has more choices for university and her future endeavors.

她也尝试过拍摄微电影，但到了现在，她却不再将自己限制在一个范围内了，更多是为了在灿烂的青春里有更多的体验。现在的她，对于大学，对于将来，有了更多选择性。

But directing and acting of the characters are not enough. "I don't want to trap myself in a certain profession, because I have good support, and I will likely have more choices to try something else."

“我不想将自己圈在某个职业里，因为我有很好的支持，未来兼顾演戏的同时去尝试更多东西。”

Through musical instrument expression, exercise, and acting, Ada never stops exploring and studying. She has been constantly developing a better self, accepting her shortcomings and making great progress.

乐器，抒发，运动，演戏，Ada一直在探索与深造的路上，一直在不停地养成更优秀的自己，也接受自己的不足并一点点进步。现在的她，就像是一片星云中凝结的初生太阳，还有无尽的光辉要挥洒。
