As the summer fades and autumn begins, we are about to embark on a brand new school year that will be full of challenges, as well as opportunities and hopes. In order to encourage better communication across the ASJ (Dongguan) community, we held an Open Day on 25th August to allow all students and parents to meet and interact with school leaders and teachers.

暑气渐消，金秋初启，我们即将迎来一个崭新而充实的学年，这一学年将充满困难和挑战，亦将充满机遇和希望。为了增强东莞ASJ社区成员们之间的沟通，我们在在8月25日举办了新学年的“开放日”活动，让所有学生、家长能与学校领导、老师相互认识和交流。

We are delighted to see familiar faces returning to school and wholeheartedly welcome new families to join the learning community of ASJ (Dongguan). All families were greeted by the smiling faces of ASJ teachers and staff. New students and current students had a placement test together as a starting point for their new school year.

我们很高兴能见到熟悉的孩子返校，也衷心欢迎新的家庭加入东莞ASJ这个温馨的学习港湾。老师们带着笑容迎接学生和家长的到来，新生和旧生在今天一起进行了分班考试，作为他们新学年的起点，也让他们学会在新学年树立目标。

While the students were sitting exams, parents got to meet with Secondary Key Learning Area (KLA) leaders. The leaders discussed the curriculum and how teachers will support their children throughout their education.

在学生们考试期间，家长们与中学部的学科主任进行了会见，更加了解孩子所学的课程以及老师们将如何帮助学生走好学习道路上的每一步。

In order to let parents have a better insight into the education philosophy of Hong Kong, we invited Dr. Anne CHAN, the former deputy president of CUHK School Heads Alumni Association and former principal of a Band 1 EMI school in Hong Kong, C.C.C. Ming Yin College, to share her knowledge and experiences with parents about educating the next generation.

为了让家长们更深入了解香港的教育理念，本校还特意邀请了“香港中文大学校友校长会”前任副主席暨香港第一等级英文中学“香港中华基督教会铬贤书院”前任校长陈绮雯博士到校举办讲座，和家长一同交流陪贤育幼的经验和心得。

Parents were also invited to visit the school's recently completed International Student Networking Centre (ISNC), which has been designed in a modern and detailed way, and we look forward to a variety of international student exchange activities here in the future, bringing a new learning experience to our students.

家长们还被邀请参观学校刚落成的学生国际交流中心，中心设计简约大气且细节满满，充满着现代化的气息，我们期待日后在此开展丰富多彩的国际学生交流活动，为同学们带来全新的学习体验。
