高校在招生选拔时，不仅看学生的学术成绩，还很重视学生的课外实践经历，因为大学的学习模式对学生的自主学习和探究能力有更高的要求。在哈罗，课外拓展活动与学术实现互补，学生可以充分挖掘兴趣特长，明确未来专业方向，并以所积累的课外实践经历助力大学申请。

比如去年，AISL哈罗上海毕业班的Brightly就斩获了素有“艺术届哈佛”之称的罗德岛设计学院offer。6年来，Brightly常常活跃于管弦乐、合唱团、学生会活动中，通过积极参与各种课外拓展项目，探索自己的兴趣所在。

于是，你会看到无论在学院公共区的装饰、休息室展示板，还是为慈善设计圣诞卡片，都会有Brightly积极地参与和贡献。多元的课外拓展经历，点燃对兴趣和专业领域的热情，再加上专业老师和升学顾问围绕其兴趣特长定制的大学申请策略，成为了Brightly收割名校offer的利器。

学生还能从CCA课外拓展活动中受到启发，逐渐懂得推己及人，关怀社区与世界，成为心怀仁爱、善用才智的领航者。

不仅如此，哈罗学子在CCA课外拓展活动中追求卓越、勇于挑战自我的精神，更将他们带到世界比赛的舞台。去年，AISL哈罗香港六年级学生Zixi，就以位列前10的超强实力，作为“中国香港风帆运动代表队”最年轻的成员“迎战”2022年亚洲及大洋洲乐天帆船锦标赛 (Optimist Asian & Oceanian Championship)。“这个宝贵的参赛机会，是经过无数努力和汗水换来的。我会全力以赴，为中国香港帆船运动和我所在的社群争取荣誉！”

收获奖牌与荣誉的同时，多才多艺的哈罗学子常吸引着愈加看重学生全面发展的世界一流大学向他们抛出橄榄枝，因突出课外特长而获得名校奖学金嘉许的毕业生不在少数。

去年，AISL哈罗曼谷学生Penguin，就以高尔夫球特长“俘获”明尼苏达大学，被授予全额奖学金，以嘉奖她在学术和专业运动领域两不误的杰出表现。

Top universities greatly value students’ extracurricular performance on top of their academic results during admission interviews. This is because self-learning ability and an inquisitive attitude are essential to a student's learning at universities. In AISL Harrow Schools, CCA complement studies by enabling students to fully explore their strengths and interests, identify their future career paths, and demonstrate their holistic development in university applications.

For instance, Brightly from AISL Harrow Shanghai secured an offer from the Rhode Island School of Design, dubbed by many as the “Harvard” of art schools. In her six years at AISL Harrow Shanghai, she was actively involved in the chamber orchestra, choir, student council, and participated in the Expeditions Programme, which allowed her to discover her interest.

Her work could be seen from the decorations in the school's common areas and bulletin boards in the recreation room, to Christmas cards for charities. Diverse co-curricular involvement helped Brightly ignite a true passion for her interest and chosen field. Our expert teachers and education counsellors also helped tailor a strategy based around her interests for her university applications. All these became an important tool for Brightly to bag an offer from such a prestigious institution.

Through CCA, students can become pioneers that utilise their talents in making the world a better place.

Besides, International Harrovians have made a name for themselves in international tournaments, thanks to the spirit of excellence fostered through CCA. Last year, Year-6 student Zixi from AISL Harrow Hong Kong qualified with a top-10 ranking as the youngest participant from the Hong Kong sailing team to compete at the Optimist Asian & Oceanian Championship 2022. 

"Getting to where I am and qualifying for the Asian championships took a lot of hard work. I hope to do the very best I can to do HK sailing and the community proud", said Zixi.

On top of prizes and accolades, our multi-talented International Harrovians often receive scholarships from top universities around the world for their co-curricular achievements

Last year, Penguin from AISL Harrow Bangkok was awarded a full-ride Golf scholarship from the University of Minnesota, in recognition of her stellar performance in both her studies and professional sports.

Besides garnering awards and accolades 

and paving their way to top universities,

shape their future for the better

through the endless opportunities
