Dear Parents,
We cordially invite you to our upcoming Curriculum Night, scheduled for Wednesday, September 6th. This event presents a valuable opportunity to engage with your child's educational journey by meeting their teachers and gaining insights into our curriculum.
Our teaching staff will conduct informative presentations throughout the evening in their respective classrooms. In MYP DP these sessions will be on aspects such as the academic syllabus, classroom procedures, assessment strategies, academic expectations, and recommended approaches for optimal student progress. In Early Years and PYP, there will also be information regarding the homeroom processes and day to days.
For G1-12 the event will begin with a brief assembly in the auditorium at 5:45 pm. where we will outline the evening's schedule. Following this, you will be able to visit the classrooms from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, gaining familiarity with the environment in which your child will be learning and growing.
For the Kindergarten, K1, K2 and K3 will begin at 18:00 in the Kindergarten building. K1 in Room 100a, K2 in 100b and K3 in room 310. The first session will be with homeroom teachers. Following this, the subject teachers will take turns to present about their curriculum areas. For Pre-K parents, we will be running an open class towards the end of September instead of the open evening. More information about this will come after the curriculum night.
As we embark on a fresh academic year, we believe that the active involvement of parents significantly contributes to the success and integration of students into the school community. Your presence at this event would greatly enhance our efforts in ensuring a remarkable educational experience for all our students.
We also extend a warm invitation to our MYP DP students to join their parents on this informative curriculum evening. However, due to the size of available venues, we encourage parents of Early Years and PYP students to come without their children. That said, understand that this may not be possible for all parents. If parents do need to bring their children, they will be able to keep them sat with them during the sessions.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you at our Curriculum Night.
Regards,
Peggy Gorman Mitchell
