In the golden autumn in September, we are glad to see our new students and teaching faculty joining us, who have brought vigor and hope to CBIS.
Since we joined CBIS, we have had a common goal. We aim to be knowledgeable, respectful and innovative lifelong learners with Chinese souls, global views and international minds.
Mr. Liang Qichao remarked in his book, Youth of China: "Youth is like the rising sun, a young tiger and an eyas, full of vitality and breeding infinite potential and hope." I hope all the students can absorb the nectar of knowledge and grow happily and confidently on this beautiful campus.
Mr. Cai Yuanpei, a famous educator in China, also said: "It is not the academic performance that determines a child's life, but a sound personality. Your good personalities can be demonstrated from the following five aspects. First, you must have good behavior habits, including studying hard, behaving in a civilized manner, following order, exercise, keeping clean, and having a regular lifestyle. Second, you must be able to face difficulties and setbacks bravely in study and life with optimism and enterprising. Third, you should love, help and cooperate with each other and respect teachers, elders, and parents. Last but not least, you need to distinguish right from wrong, good and evil, beauty and ugliness.
Educator Tao Xingzhi said: Teaching is to teach people to seek truth, and learning is to be virtuous. We always believe that a noble and dignified heart is hidden in every teacher and child’s chest. It is education's mission and original intention to maximize the development and growth of every life, respect the wonder and beauty of life, and wake up the vitality of life!
I hope all teachers will implement the student-centered school-running philosophy, treat each student full of love, and strive to improve their teaching and management levels. I also sincerely hope that all the students can start studying and live with a new spiritual outlook.
