Mr Craig Johnson
Head of Humanities
Mr Johnson joins LEH Foshan as Head of Humanities, bringing nearly 25 years of teaching experience and a wealth of international school experience from the Middle East and Asia. Throughout his career in education, he has led a team of teachers in Geography, History, and Global Perspectives and ensured successful student outcomes at various levels. As a learning facilitator, Mr Johnson successfully fosters a dynamic environment based on high expectations, responsibility, and mutual respect. Before joining LEH Foshan, he was the Head of Humanities at a renowned British school in China, leading subject specialists and non-specialists alike with an emphasis on teamwork, support, and professional development. Mr Johnson holds a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education with Qualified Teacher Status in Physical Education and Geography from the University of Brighton.
Mr Steven Banks
Teacher of Geography
Head of Boarding & Pastoral Care
Mr Steve Banks is our Head of Boarding & Pastoral Care and Teacher of Geography with over 22 years of experience in a variety of different teaching and school management roles since completing his PGCE in the University of Sheffield. He has taught Geography within the A level and IB programmes to both UK and international students and has led on many field trips to Thailand, Italy, France, Switzerland, Iceland and Nepal. With his contribution, his previous departments have been recognised as outstanding by Ofsted and the Geographical Association. Mr Banks enjoys delivering stimulating Geography lessons and developing students into ‘natural geographers’ and he looks forward to coordinating the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme at LEH Foshan and organising field trips for our students.
Asides from his teaching role, Mr Banks is also our Head of Boarding and works with the boarding team to safeguard and support the development of the Boarding programme at LEH Foshan.
Mr David Noronha
Head of History
Mr Noronha joins LEH Foshan as Head of History with nearly 10 years of teaching experience in the UK and China. His teaching roles vary from being a history teacher to a primary homeroom teacher and to a coach of a school’s football team, which makes him a dedicated teaching practitioner with valuable insights and experience across multiple subjects and grade levels. Mr Noronha graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a BA in History degree and pursued his MA in Conflict Studies at the University of Leeds. He also holds a PGCE (QTS) from the University of Leicester.
Ms Annabelle Ibeodo
Head of Economics &
Business Studies
Ms Ibeodo joins LEH Foshan as Head of Economics & Business Studies from the UK with 5 years' experience in teaching Economics and Business subjects. She also has experience as a tutor and offers students revision and exam practice support, guiding A Level Business students to achieve outstanding scores in their exams. Ms Ibeodo holds a BA Hons Business Management with Law from the University of Derby and a PGCE from the University of Greenwich.
Mr Gareth Nelson
Learning Consultant of Business & Economics
Mr Nelson, an experienced educator with 10 years of teaching and over 8 years in the industry, joining LEH Foshan as Learning Consultant of Business & Economics. His diverse background includes working as a Business Studies Teacher, Subject Head, and Head of Humanities in schools across the UK, South Africa, South Korea, China, Peru, and UAE. Additionally, he served as a Lecturer in Supply Chain Management at Arden University in the UK. Mr Nelson's teaching expertise extends to IGCSE and A Level Business Studies, Economics, History, and Psychology. His academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Military History from Wolverhampton University and a PGCE in Business Analysis and Consulting from Ulster University.
