Home-school cooperation plays an indispensable role in supporting the development of students. Parents have always been a solid pillar for the development of the school, providing comprehensive support and active participation in the school's educational and teaching work, as well as various activities.
As a bridge between the school and the family, PTA plays an important role in promoting home-school co-parenting. Our PTA and all the enthusiastic parents have been actively participating in school activities since the beginning of our school, and this semester, they have spontaneously organized different events including Mid-Autumn Festival carnival, etc., which effectively promoted communication between the family and the school. Dr. Koong also regularly invites parents to Noodle Chat breakfast meetings to carefully record and answer parents' concerns.
Through these activities, parents can have a deeper understanding of the school's teaching philosophy and education model, and better participate in their children's education process. At the same time, the school also understands the opinions and suggestions of parents through the family Committee, and constantly improves and improves the teaching work to better meet the needs of students.
Last year's Sports Day, we had the honor to invite parents and teachers to play tug-of-war together. This competition is not only a competition, but also a rare opportunity for home-school interaction, and also shows the spirit of teamwork and hard work to the children.
This year, parents are more actively involved in school affairs. At the beginning of the semester, the warm-hearted representatives of PTA brought valuable and meaningful gifts to the school, sending good wishes to the children and the school.
At lunch time, parents often come to the cafeteria to help the children. They not only help the children to eat, but also communicate with the children kindly, bringing a harmonious and warm vibe.
On the Tuesday before the Mid-Autumn Festival, our PTA organized a Mid-Autumn Festival carnival that traversed the past and the present. Children, parents and teachers all dressed in the traditional costumes of various Chinese dynasties, as if through time and space, together to celebrate this traditional festival.
In addition to their busy daily work, the members of PTA planned the whole event very carefully, fully considering all details, and presented an interesting and traditional cultural atmosphere for the children to celebrate the festival.
This Friday, parents went into our campus again to support the "Joyful Shopping Street" activity.
The second grade math class has been learning about currencies for a while, and how to use them (in the shopping phase, we focused on the topic of buying food, supplemented by learning how to read ingredient labels and learn about healthy foods and unhealthy ingredients to help children establish healthy eating habits).
After having the knowledge of how to buy food with money, calculate the total price, and find change, students prepared the "Joyful Shopping Street" to apply the knowledge gained in class to real life situations.
Children from other grades came to support, and many parents also participated. Children's abilities to be creative and solve real life problems are beyond our imagination!
The hard work of parents makes the school more united, and is also a firm backing for the growth of children. VPA welcomes the active participation and cooperation of parents, and sincerely hopes to provide more effective support and help for the growth and development of children through close communication and cooperation with parents.
Perhaps, we may not be able to hold our children's hands to walk the way we want to go, but we can run in the front, and turn on the lights on the road that our children want to pursue.
