提起“学院制”，大家脑海中首先想到的就是《哈利波特》小说中的四大魔法学院，重视勇气的格兰芬多，重视野心的斯莱特林，重视努力和公正的赫奇帕奇以及重视智慧的拉文克劳。

在佛山暨大港澳子弟学校，同样有着丰富精彩的“HOUSE制度”等待大家参与。

为了创造一种社区意识并在学生和教职员工之间唤起一些良性竞争，佛山暨大港澳将实行HOUSE学院制度。每名佛山暨大港澳社区成员，包括所有学生和教职员，都将被分配到一间“HOUSE”（“HOUSE”是指由多人组成的团体，并非实体的住房或宿舍）。

学生在就读期间将始终隶属于其HOUSE之内，以营造社区成员对所属学院集体身份的认同与自豪。学院之间进行友好竞争，同时也让各个年级和各个学部（小学、初中和高中）的师生相互熟悉。学院制度可以促进归属感，鼓励和促进团队合作、友谊、指导、互助和良性竞争。

所有学院成员都将在整个学年内参加各种各样的友好竞赛。我们根据学生年龄谨慎选择合适的活动，凸显学生所长。

在注重导师指导的社区，学院制度能够有效地让高年级学生与低年级学生交朋友。与学生一样，教职员工也将与自己的院舍伙伴一起，面对具有竞争性的挑战，并参与、监督、支持和引导各项活动。

值得一提的是，当学生毕业之后，其子女如果再进入佛山暨大港澳子弟学校就读，将被分配到其父母原来所处的学院之内，成为该学院的成员。进入父母曾经所属的学院，将增强学生的归属感与荣耀感。

In order to create a sense of community and evoke some healthy competition amongst students and staff, ASJ-FS operates a House System. Each member of the community, students and teachers alike, is placed in one of our Houses (a term referring to a body of people and not an actual house or dorm location). 

Students remain with their House for the duration of their education at ASJ-FS. The House System enables a cross div of adults and students to interact in friendly competitions and become more familiar with others across grade levels and school divisions (primary, lower and upper secondary schools). The House System facilitates a sense of belonging, and encourages cooperation, team building, friendship, mentoring, dynamic play and healthy competition. 

Houses participate in a variety of friendly competitions throughout the school year. Age-appropriate activities are carefully chosen to highlight the strengths of each child. In a community that values mentoring, the House System is a valuable link for older students to buddy with younger students. Adults will face the same competitive challenges as their student Housemates and will be on hand for every event to participate, monitor, support and guide. 

In the future, sons and daughters of ASJ-FS alumni will be placed in the same house as their parent(s). The pride of joining a House that has represented your family in previous generations will add to the deep sense of loyalty that comes from being a House member at ASJ-FS.

学院使我们的学校不仅是一个学习的地方，而且是一个由价值观、团队合作和精神联系在一起的社区。学院系统的主要目的是通过积极主动地开展工作来推进学校的使命：

ASJ-FS houses make our school not just a place of learning, but a community bonded by values, teamwork, and spirit. The primary purpose of the House System is to further the mission and ministry of the school by working proactively to:

• Enable students to grow academically, spiritually, and socially

• Provide greater pastoral care by integrating students into a support system

• Equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for them to provide effective leadership

• Promote unity among students and growth of relationships between grade levels

• Inspire academic excellence and development of each individual’s gifts and talents

• Nurture a vibrant school spirit 

佛山暨大港澳的每个学院都以暨南大学的校训——“忠信笃敬”的四个字命名。我们的四所学院——正直、忠诚、尊重和真诚——每个学院都有自己独特的吉祥物：飞马、凤凰、狮子和狼。

四大学院的形象不仅仅是名字和符号， 更代表了学校的精神内核，同时每个教职员工也将属于一个学院。

Each House at ASJ-FS is named after the four elements of the motto of the Jinan University. Our four houses – Integrity, Loyalty, Respect, and Sincerity – each with its own unique mascot: a pegasus, a phoenix, a lion, and a wolf. 

These houses are more than just names and symbols; they represent the essence of who we are as a school. Every faculty and staff member belongs to a House.

The structure of the House System organizes the school into four separate groups known as Houses. The House System is designed to be student driven, with numerous student leadership opportunities.

The House Coordinators are faculty members chosen by the administration; House Coordinators are responsible to oversee their House and meet periodically with the Head of Student Development Center. These responsibilities include:

• Assist in the interviewing and selecting of House Captains;

• Develop leadership for the House Captains and faculty Mentors;

• Supervise House activities and competitions with Mentors and student leaders;

• Schedule meetings with the Mentors and student leaders;

• Communicate information between Houses;

• Evaluate performance of House Captains and student leaders;

• Oversee reporting of points earned and service hours accumulated;

• Encourage the interrelationship of students in Mentor Groups and within the House;

• Cultivate spirit within the House.

House Mentor Teachers

每个学院分为多个导师小组，每个小组由8到10名不同年级的学生组成。每个导师小组分配一名教职员作为导师，并将得到学生组长的协助。导师将履行以下职责：

• 培养一种家庭文化，让学生相互了解，培养对彼此的关怀和责任感。

• 注意小组中学生的出勤率、学业成长、情绪状态和行为。

• 鼓励学生参加学院的活动、竞赛和服务项目。

• 与小组中的学生领袖合作，培养小组团体精神，发展学生的领导能力。

• 支持导师小组负责人组织和主持导师小组活动。

Each House is divided into several Mentor Groups consisting of eight to ten students of different grades. A faculty member is assigned as Mentor to each Mentor Group, and will have the assistance of student Group Leaders.

The Mentor will fulfill these responsibilities:

• Foster a familial culture where the students get to know one another and develop a sense of caring and responsibility for each other.

• Be aware of the attendance, academic growth, emotional status, and behavior of the students in the group.

• Encourage students to participate in the House activities, competitions, and service projects.

• Work with the Mentor Group Leader to develop the spirit of the group and develop her/his leadership skills;

• Support the Mentor Group Leader in organizing and moderating Mentor Group activities.

学院竞赛不仅仅是游戏和比赛。这是关于培养归属感、促进良性竞争和塑造性格的过程，同时鼓励我们作为一个团队工作，并在各种活动中相互支持，从体育和学术到社区服务和艺术。

The House Competition is not just about games and contests. It's about fostering a sense of belonging, promoting healthy competition, and building character. It encourages us to work as a team and support one another in various activities, from sports and academics to community service and the arts.

Throughout the year, we will have opportunities to earn points for our respective houses by participating in these activities. The house with the most points at the end of the year will earn the coveted House Cup, a symbol of honor and pride.

But let's remember that it's not just about winning. It's about embracing the values represented by our houses. It's about demonstrating integrity in every action, being loyal to our friends and school, showing respect to all, and living with sincerity.

Whether you belong to Integrity, Loyalty, Respect, or Sincerity House, you are encouraged to give your best in everything you do. Let your actions reflect the values we hold dear. Let's make this House Competition a memorable experience that strengthens our bonds and makes our school community even stronger.

Together, we can achieve greatness. Together, we can live out the ideals of Integrity, Loyalty, Respect and Sincerity. Together, we can soar like a pegasus, rise from the ashes like a phoenix, roar like a lion, and run with the pack like a wolf.
