Banking Beyond the Classroom: A Captivating Field Trip to the Bank of Montreal
课堂外的别样商学体验——上海蒙特利尔银行参观学习之旅
16 excited Grade 11 and 12 Business management students stepped out onto the 20th Floor of the International Finance Tower, in Shanghai’s business district. The uninterrupted view of Shanghai’s riverfront and the Radio Tower stretched before them from the bank’s Boardroom.Taking their seats around the boardroom table the day began with a warm up exercise before getting into the topics for the day.
CISH 11 和 12年级共计16名商学课程学生，怀着激动的心情登上了位于上海商业区的国际金融大厦20 楼。从银行的董事会议室向外望去，江景和无线电塔在眼前延展开来，一览无余。在热身活动之后，同学们在会议室各就各位进入正式的话题交流并讨论。
The Bank of Montreal (BoM) was founded in 1817 and is Canada’s oldest bank and now the 8th largest bank in Northern USA and Canada. It offers a full range of services for individuals and companies. Huge thanks to BoM for a great day.
蒙特利尔银行（BoM）成立于 1817 年，是加拿大历史最悠久的银行，目前是北美和加拿大的第八大银行，它为个人和公司提供全方位的服务。非常感谢蒙特利尔银行的周到安排，让我们在愉快的氛围中收获圆满的一天。
In the morning students learnt about retail high street banking and corporate banking. How the bank was organised into different functions and what these meant. Accompanying students were Mr Ryan Walsh DP Co-ordinator, Mr Hamish Clifton head of I & S and DP Business Teacher and Ms Suhua Li Math Teacher and great support from Melody Yang Director of Operations at CISH who introduced the Bank to CISH.
当日上午，学生们学习了零售银行和企业银行相关业务，包括银行不同职能的组成以及这些职能的涵义。此次陪同学生一次出行的有DP 协调员 Ryan Walsh 老师、I&S 以及DP商学课程负责人 Hamish Clifton 老师、数学任课老师Suhua Li老师。同时，非常感谢 CISH 运营总监 Melody Yang女士向CISH介绍了蒙特利尔银行，是他们的支持促成了此次实地学习之旅。
The day made real some of the terminology and ideas students have learnt in their business class. As one student put it. “Hearing business people talking about the things we do in class made it real” (Henry Huang).
这样充实的一天让学生们在商业课上学到的一些术语和想法与现实。正如一位学生所说 "听到了商界人士谈论我们在课堂上做的事情，这让一切都变得更加真实。"（Henry Huang）。
The whole day was highly participative and in the afternoon students learnt more about personal finance, investing and money management. Very useful for planning their University finances!
全天的活动参与度很高，下午学生们学习了更多关于个人理财、投资和资金管理的知识。这对他们进入大学之后的财务规划非常有用！
The day ended with a competition – which team could best manage their finances. It was spirited, lively and – a lot of fun! And aside from the formal learning, feedback was that the social experience of the trip was enjoyable and meaningful.
当天的活动以一场比赛结束——比拼哪支队伍的财务管理能力最强。比赛充满激情、生动有趣！除了正式的学习，学生还反馈说此次旅行的社交体验也非常愉快且有意义，不虚此行！
