David Mansfield, our Senior Advisor to the Group Board, begins a regular series of articles on all aspects of education. He has been head of four schools, two in the UK, and more recently Dulwich College Beijing and YKPao School in Shanghai.

After a fantastic summer vacation, ISA has opened a brand new chapter. The first day of school brings with it new expectations and hopes for both our older students who return to school and those new students who have just joined ISA. At the Orientation Day, students and parents were given the opportunity to learn more about the teachers, daily school life and curricula, in order to help prepare students for their future studies. On the first day of school, ISA welcomed every student and looks forward to growing with them and creating wonderful memories together.

On 11 September 2023, Mr. Alan Phua, Director of Admissions, and Mr Ervin Koh, Assistant Director, Office of Admissions of Nanyang Technological University (henceforth referred to as ‘NTU’), visited schools and programmes of ISA International Group separately for a valuable sharing session. 

On September 22, 2023, the ISAIEG University Fair, ISA Liwan 2023 Fall was held at ISA Liwan Sports Hall. Students and parents from ISA Liwan International School, ISA Science City International School, and  Guangzhou Foreign Language School ISA Wenhua IB Diploma Programme gather together,  communicating with admissions officers from 30+ world-renowned universities to explore more about campus life, admission procedures, majors, and so on.

继新加坡国立大学和南洋理工大学向爱莎教育集团首届毕业生抛来橄榄枝，新加坡南洋理工大学 (Nanyang Technological University，后称‘南大’) 招生官于9月11日亲临爱莎教育集团旗下各学校，进行友好访问。

2023年9月22日，爱莎国际教育集团2023秋季大学展在爱莎荔湾体育馆进行。荔湾爱莎国际学校、爱莎科学城外籍人员子女学校以及广州外国语爱莎文华IB课程的同学和家长们齐聚一堂，与30+所来自世界知名大学招生官面对面交流，了解大学的特色和专业设置。

Competition on Campus

On September 23, the 2023 ISA Cup Swimming Tournament & the 3rd X-CEL Invitation Swim Meet co-sponsored by the Collaborative Innovation Centre for the Education of International Understanding, ISA International Academy, and X-cel Swimming Club was successfully held in Guangzhou ISA Science City International School. Nearly 1,000 parents，coaches，and family members watched as more than 324 outstanding young swimmers from more than 120 schools and swimming clubs across China came together to compete for glory and dreams.

校园赛事

2023年9月23日，国际理解教育协同创新中心、广州爱莎国际学苑、X-CEL国际游泳俱乐部共同主办的2023“爱莎杯”国际青少年游泳锦标赛暨第三届X-CEL游泳俱乐部国际邀请赛在广州爱莎科学城外籍人员子女学校开赛。近1000人现场观看来自全国120多个学校和游泳俱乐部的324多名优秀青少年游泳选手们汇聚一堂，为争夺荣耀与梦想而奋力拼搏。

During the past period, ISA students have achieved excellent results in various competitions. ISA Wuhan students won awards at 2023 Global Future Space Scholars Meet in China and the first prize in Global Academician Forum. ISA Science City students won the championship at the 2023 Haikou Cup Regatta Invitational. ISA Tianhe students won awards at 2023 SIMOC. Students of GZFLS ISA IBDP won awards at Student Investment Challenge.

In September, ISA Liwan held the Primary School and Secondary School (International) Curriculum Events where parents were invited to the school to meet and interact with the teachers. 

To assist children in better protecting themselves, ISA Science City has incorporated child safety education into daily teaching and management, and the school also hopes that parents can effectively assume the responsibility and duty of guardianship. Therefore, ISA Science City organized the parents' college on the theme of "Campus Safety and Child Protection Courses", inviting parents to work together to strengthen home-school co-education relations and ensure students' safety.

9月，爱莎荔湾举办了高中、初中以及小学(国际方向)的课程信息分享会，邀请家长到场与教师团队进行面对面交流与互动，进一步深入了解并感受学校课程。

为帮助孩子更好的保护自己, 爱莎科学城学校把儿童安全教育渗透到日常的教学管理中,同时也希望家长也能够切实担负起监护职责和义务。为此爱莎科学城组织主题为“校园安全之儿童保护课程”的家长课堂，邀请家长携手强化家校共育纽带，切实保障学生安全。

ISA school canteen takes students at the centre, provides students with nutritionally balanced meals and a good dining environment from the perspective of students' growth needs, and creates a unique campus food education culture through the monthly global food theme activities, dietary lectures and international etiquette training class, etc.
