AISL哈罗重庆传承哈罗公学沉淀百年的教育精髓,同步于全球哈罗家庭成员学校,我们在一整学年的教学规划中,设置了各有特色的“学术主题周”——每年3月会开展哈罗读书周的活动,5月迎来强度层层升级哈罗挑战周,11月则是哈罗学子们期待满满的科技创新周(STEAM WEEK),而12月底的中国文化周则是一场穿越古今的中国文化探索之旅。


STEAM(科学、技术、工程、艺术和数学)是近年来新兴的混合学科学习方式,它重在培养孩子们的“问题意识”,关注真实情境中的真问题;培养孩子们的“工程意识”,通过设计和制作解决问题;培养孩子们的“融通意识”,运用多学科知识来解决问题。


上周,哈罗重庆从幼儿园到高年级,每个年级都以“创造更美好的明天”开展了形式多样的STEAM学习项目与多元探索活动。我们为哈罗学子们在科技创新周期间表现出的热情和奉献精神感到自豪,这些经历培养了大家的团队合作精神、批判性思维和创造力,哈罗学子们也在这个过程中逐渐学会不断勇敢创新,不断挑战自我!

AISL Harrow Chongqing inherits the centuries-old educational essence of Harrow School and synchronises it with Harrow family schools around the world, we have set up distinctive "Academic Themed Weeks" throughout the school year - Harrow Book Week in March every year, Harrow Challenge Week in May, STEAM WEEK in November, and Chinese Culture Week at the end of December.


STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) is an emerging blended learning approach in recent years, which focuses on cultivating pupils' problem-solving awareness by focusing on real problems in real situations, engineering awareness by designing and creating solutions, and integration awareness by applying multidisciplinary knowledge to solve problems.


Last week, Harrow Chongqing conducted a variety of STEAM learning programmes and multi-dimensional exploratory activities in every grade from Kindergarten to the upper school with the theme of " Building a Better Tomorrow". We are proud of the enthusiasm and dedication Harrovians showed during STEAM Week, as these experiences fostered teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity, and Harrovians learned to be brave, innovative, and challenging in the process!



高年级学子们的第一个活动,就是两天一夜的长寿狮子滩水电站之旅。在科技创新周的前两天,哈罗学子们前往长寿湖和水力发电厂,化身工程师揭秘水力发电的科技奥秘,搭建智慧水运运输线、制作“水火箭”、动手实验水力发电、扎筏泅渡,在实践中感受水的力量,探索水能转化为电能的神奇过程。


学习不止于课堂,哈罗学子们的长寿狮子滩水电站之行,让他们在相互协作之中增进友谊,凝聚团队力量。我们相信,这次终生难忘的经历会成为他们全面发展的成长起步点!

The first activity for the upper school was a two-day and one-night trip to the Changshou Shizitan Hydroelectric Powerplant. During the first two days of STEAM Week, Harrovians travelled to Changshou Lake and the hydroelectric power plant, where they unravelled the technological mysteries of hydroelectricity, built an intelligent water transport line, made water rockets, experimented with hydroelectricity, and swam across the river on rafts, experiencing the power of water and exploring the miraculous process of converting water energy into electricity.


Learning is not only in the classroom, Harrovians' trip to Hydroelectric Powerplant allowed them to enhance friendship and build up team strength through fellowship. We believe that this unforgettable experience will be the starting point for their well-rounded development!

周三下午,哈罗学子们还参加了宁德时代&蔚来汽车研讨会,在这场关于国际前沿电池及新能源汽车技术知识讲座中,大家和来自宁德时代和蔚来汽车的资深讲师们一起讨论前沿科学技术,感受来自科学的魅力。

On Wednesday afternoon, Harrovians also attended the CATL & NIO Seminar. In this seminar on international cutting-edge battery and new energy vehicle technology knowledge, we discussed cutting-edge science and technology with senior lecturers from CATL & NIO, and felt the charm from science.

他们在这周不同的挑战中,展现出自己独具特色的技能。在科学课上,五年级学子们结合工程、建筑、艺术、数学和科学技能,建造了坚固的过山车;在美术课上,六年级的哈罗学子们设计了宣传健康生活方式的海报;在计算机课上,八年级的他们探索了人工智能的奥妙……

They demonstrated their unique skills in different challenges this week. In Science, Grade 5 students combined engineering, architecture, art, maths and science skills to build sturdy roller coasters; in Art, Grade 6 Harrovians designed posters to promote healthy lifestyles; and in Computing, Grade 8 explored the wonders of Artificial Intelligence ......




低年级的哈罗学子们在上周前往了重庆科技馆,沉浸式地感受了科技的神奇、艺术的精美与大自然的奇妙,一起探索了科技馆里的奥妙。不同年级的同学们分别在科技馆内进行了不同主题的研究,从而引发了他们对可持续发展、减少全球变暖和爱护地球等各种问题对思考。


这一周的所有旅程,都让哈罗学子一直保持着对未知的探索欲,在观察中思考,在思考中探索!

The Lower School Harrovians travelled to the Science and Technology Museum in Chongqing last week and were immersed in the wonders of technology, art and nature, exploring the wonders of the museum. Students from different grades were able to conduct research on a variety of topics at the Museum, which led them to think about various issues such as sustainable development, reducing global warming and caring for the planet.


Throughout the week, Harrovians were kept on the lookout for the unknown, thinking and exploring as they observed!

一年级的学生踏上了丛林冒险之旅,创作了《走进丛林》中动物的面具。全班学生在生动的再现中展示了他们的创造力。与此同时,科学课聚焦于安全高效地种植南瓜种子,将乐趣与实际知识相结合。

In Grade 1, students embarked on a jungle adventure, creating masks of animals from the story "Walking through the Jungle." The class showcased their creativity in a lively reenactment. Meanwhile, science lessons focused on planting pumpkin seeds, combining fun with practical knowledge. 



二年级深入研究桑德拉·迪克曼的《叶子》,探讨气候变化和可持续性主题。一周的活动挑战了关于科学家的刻板印象,让学生扮演多样化的科学家,从哺乳动物学家到工程师。而后从可再生能源出发,学子们为北极熊制作了绿色汽车。

Grade 2 delved into Sandra Dieckman's 'Leaf,' exploring themes of climate change and sustainability. Activities throughout the week challenged stereotypes about scientists and engaged students in becoming diverse scientists, from mammologists to engineers. The highlight was designing vehicles for polar bears, emphasizing renewable energy.  



在STEAM周期间,三年级了解了不同类型的可再生能源及其在全球的应用。我们还了解了太平洋垃圾带,了解到每年有大约3-6百万吨塑料被倾倒到海洋中。这周的亮点是与四年级合作完成一个挑战,制作自己的“垃圾怪兽”,并于周五向来参观的人展示。我们涉及了预算和市场营销,涵盖了许多跨学科技能。这是一个非常成功而愉快的一周!

During STEAM week, Grade 3 embraced a mission for a better tomorrow. From renewable energy education to creating 'Garbage Monsters' with Grade 4, students developed an understanding of positive environmental impact. The week was a successful blend of science, teamwork, and cross-curricular skills.  



由于四年级的学生即将学习声音在不同材料中的传播,我们进行了一个名为“可见音”的课程。学生们获得了关于声音如何通过不同材料传播以及不同材料及其所受张力如何产生不同声音的知识基础。他们使用各种工具和材料制作了不同的乐器,并最终完成了一份书面报告。他们还带着自己制作的新乐器回家了!这是科学课程中的一次引言,因为我们将以更深入的水平研究这个主题,学生将使用他们从家里带来的材料制作自己的乐器。

Grade 4 explored sound travel in the 'Visible Sound' class, creating instruments and gaining a foundation for future studies. In collaboration with Grade 3, they tackled recycling, designing garbage cans with an innovative twist—garbage cans that 'eat' plastic and paper. The project showcased interdisciplinary skills in science, technology, engineering, art, and math.  




此次科技创新周小狮子们当然也不会错过!在上周的明月湖,小狮子们为了创造更好的明天,每个人都发挥自己灵活的动手能力,利用旧物回收做出了一个个属于自己的环保小船。最后,放入明月湖的水面,所有小船都成功出海啦!

The Little Lions certainly didn't miss out on this STEAM Week! Last week at Mingyue Lake, in order to build a better tomorrow, the Lions made their own environmental boats by recycling old materials and using their own manual skills. At the end of the day, all the boats were successfully launched into the water of Mingyue Lake!
