At CBIS, every student can fully enjoy the fun of reading.
We update the book list in the library and organize reading activities regularly, to help our students develop their reading and learning habits. Through reading, they can understand themselves and the world, and face to the various new challenges in information society.
HOW TO SUPPORT OUR
CHILDREN'S READING
We do believe that reading contains tremendous energy.
In the IB parent class held last Friday (Nov 17th), our PYP coordinator Ms.Spring and Ms.Ana shared their views on reading from multiple dimensions, including creating a sense of ritual in family reading, the importance of parent-child reading, developing reading habits, and selecting excellent book lists.
Our IB PTA members planned a follow-up event this Friday (Nov 24th) - the International Department Parent Reading Conference. Parents read and shared their experiences together.
It is worth mentioning that the above activities were spontaneously organized and held by the IB PTA Committee. Our IB PTA members participated and ran through the entire process of the even, from the early promotion to the final summary.
The communication skills, planning abilities and presentation skills they showed were so impressive.
They are good at communication, willing to share, and actively think, fully practicing the qualities of IB Learner Profile, shining the role models of IB lifelong learners. That is what an international school's parents committee should be like.

For the first time attending the parent reading club, I feel that for me, through reading, not only can I learn knowledge, but I also benefit a lot; In addition, by sharing good books, interesting words from books, exchanging experiences, expanding and enlightening with each other, it seems easier for me to learn or understand different perspectives and cultures. Looking forward to learning more knowledge and experiences next time.
PTA's parent club activities, parent class, and reading club have benefited me a lot! Let us parents sit and talk together, become lifelong growth oriented parents, and progress together with our children!
