With music by Jeanine Tesori, book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire, Shrek The Musical is based on the Oscar®-winning DreamWorks Animation film and the book Shrek by William Steig. The original Broadway production, starring Brian d'Arcy James as Shrek and Sutton Foster as Fiona, ran for twelve months and received a total of twelve Drama Desk Awards and eight Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical.

故事简介 Brief introduction

这是一个“明亮又美丽的大世界”，每个人最喜欢的小怪兽史莱克带领一群童话故事中的异类冒险营救公主并找到了真正的接纳和幸福。一部分故事是浪漫，一部分是扭曲的童话故事，《怪物史莱克》是一个非常不错的又很有趣的演出，它会向整个家庭传递强有力的信息。

It's a "big bright beautiful world" as everyone's favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek JR. is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.

从前，在一个遥远的沼泽地里，住着一个名叫史莱克的小怪兽。一天，史莱克发现他的沼泽地被一群被放逐的童话故事中的人物入侵了，他们被佛瓜王抛弃了，佛瓜王是一个有着远大抱负还有些小小恐怖的人。当史莱克带着一头妙语连珠、酷爱唠叨的驴子与佛瓜王对峙时，他被交给了一项重要的任务——如果他能救出了活泼可爱的公主菲奥纳，他的沼泽就会得到治理并恢复原状。史莱克试图赢得菲奥纳的爱并击败佛瓜王，但如果没有一些曲折，童话故事就是不完整的。

Once upon a time, in a faraway swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.
