经过月余的精心筹备和选举，TWIS在家委会宣誓就职仪式上正式介绍了学校社区中的第一批家长委员会成员。

On December 8, 2023, TWIS marked history by officially introducing the very first Parent Council officers to the school community during its oath-taking ceremony.

家委会成员从何而来？

Where are the members of Parent Council from?

为了加强家长和监护人与学校社区之间的合作伙伴关系，TWIS家长委员会在2023年经过一系列的选举活动后成立。所有的家长和监护人都被邀请报名参与选举，报名者和TWIS学生会成员之间进行了正式会议，介绍了家长委员会的角色和责任。同一天，家长委员会2023年选举的候选人登记也同时进行。

Aiming to foster a stronger partnership between the esteemed parents and guardians and the school community, the TWIS Parent Council has been established in 2023 after a series of stages and events. All parents and guardians were invited to be members of the council. From these signups, a formal meeting between the parent volunteers and the TWIS Student Council officers was held for the latter to present the roles and responsibilities of the TWIS Parent Council. On the same day, filing for candidacy to run for the TWIS Parent Council 2023 Election was facilitated.

2023年11月23日，学生会组织举行的 Mitin de Avance 向所有家长和学生们展示他们的想法、目标和计划，并分享他们对学校的愿景的机会。此次活动为候选人展示他们的领导才能和积极参与促进学生福利的能力提供了平台。通过这次活动让TWIS的家长和学生们更多地了解候选人，并在投票时做出明智的决定。

Organized by the StuCo, the mitin de avance took place on November 23, 2023. It was an opportunity for the candidates to present their ideas, goals, and plans to their fellow parents and legal guardians and share their vision for the school. The event served as a platform for candidates to showcase their leadership skills and active involvement in promoting the welfare of the students. It allowed the parents and legal guardians at TWIS to learn more about the candidates and make an informed decision in casting their votes.

2023年11月27日至28日，TWIS家长委员会2023年选举通过电子投票进行，并通过祝贺公告发布了选举结果。家长委员会宣誓就职仪式于12月8日举行，家长领导们正式承诺将代表家长社区的声音和利益，在TWIS创造积极的变革。

On November 27-28, 2023, the TWIS Parent Council 2023 Election was conducted through electronic voting. The election results were published the next day. The Parent Council Oath-Taking Ceremony was held with great significance on December 8 to symbolize the officers’ commitment to leadership, responsibility, and service within the school community. The parent leaders formally pledged their dedication to representing the voices and interests of the parent community in creating a positive difference at TWIS.

The purpose of the Parent Council is to enhance communication and collaboration between school and home, enabling them to work together in shaping an exceptional educational experience for the students. Recognizing that parent involvement plays a vital role in shaping the development of the students, TWIS trusts that this initiative will make a significant impact on the success of the school in building partnerships with the parent community. As it values open and transparent communication as a key to collective success, TWIS nurtures a welcoming environment where every parent and guardian feels heard, valued, and well-informed about the happenings at school.
