湿地与红树林

——珍贵的自然资源

从横琴岛到淇澳岛，从南到北遍布所有片区，珠海总共有湿地9191.27公顷，红树林531.56公顷，其中红树植物种类达30种，是国内植物种类最多的红树林之一，有野生动物约347种，其中保护区监测到鸟类有180多种，包含黑脸琵鹭、黄嘴白鹭、白腹海雕等多种国家一级保护野生动物，每年秋冬停留栖息的鸟类达数万只。

湿地是“地球之肾”，同森林和海洋并称地球三大生态系统，而红树林是重要的滨海湿地生态系统，有着4倍强于雨林的固碳能力，还能防风消浪、固岸护堤、净化海水和空气。保护湿地生态系统，维护和修复红树林，对保护物种基因多样性、维护区域生态平衡中，有不可替代的作用。

今年哈罗横琴Long Ducker慈善长跑所募集资金将捐赠于红树林基金会（MCF），用于推动红树林保护、湿地教育CEPA（交流、教育、参与、公众意识）、候鸟迁飞通道保护等公益工作，重建海上森林，爱护我们共同赖以生存的家园！

面向哈罗横琴全体学生、家长、教职工及热心公益和教育的社会人士开放报名。

报名费用

哈罗慈善长跑以慈善为目的，为了筹集善款，除哈罗横琴在读学生外，本活动将对所有参与者收取128元/人，所有收入将用于本地慈善项目捐赠（缴费成功后，若活动当天因自身原因未能参与，报名费不予退还）。

赛段设置

2023哈罗横琴Long Ducker慈善长跑赛道位于横琴粤澳深度合作区天沐河畔横琴赛艇公园，均以沿河步道和绿道为主，风景优美，空气清新，既有现代城市设计的精雕细琢，也为跑者们提供了一个愉悦、安全的跑步环境。

8.5KM （竞赛组）	设置儿童组男子、儿童组女子、成人组男子、成人组女子四个组别前三名，适合竞赛性选手
4.2KM （标准组）	在规定时间内完赛即获得完赛奖牌，适合所有人
2.1KM （亲子组）	家长与孩子共同参与，需要共同完赛才能获得奖牌

● 8.5km跑段奖项设置为成人组（16岁以上参赛者）男子前三名及女子前三名，儿童组（16岁及以下参赛者）男子前三名及女子前三名.

● 所有完赛者都将获得哈罗横琴Long Ducker慈善长跑完赛纪念奖牌。

本次慈善长跑活动不以竞技为目的，旨在鼓励哈罗社区的家庭和孩子通过协作完成长跑。请量力而行，如果中途有任何不适，需第一时间停止运动并向周边最近的工作人员寻求帮助。

物资包领取

报名成功后，请根据短信通知领取本次长跑活动物资包（含定制快干衣一件、运动背包一个、号码牌一个），其余物资（饮料、能量补给零食等）将在现场发放。

● 领取时间：

1月19日周五 9:30-12:00，14:00-17:00

1月20日周六 9:30-12:00，14:00-17:00

*本次慈善长跑活动以领取物资包为最终确认参与资格，请根据信息提示领取物资包，逾期视为放弃领取，将无法继续参与活动。

*主办方尽可能满足参与者定制快干衣的尺码需求，由于快干衣将根据报名信息进行制作，一经发放，不予退换，敬请谅解。

报名须知

● 报名参加本次活动的儿童，建议年龄在3岁至18岁之间（12岁以下儿童建议报名2.1公里亲子跑，必须由监护人陪跑）；成人建议年龄在18岁至60岁之间。

● 有下列情况者不宜报名参赛：先天性心脏病和风湿性心脏病;高血压和脑血管疾病;心肌炎和其他心脏病;冠状动脉病和严重心律不齐;血糖过高或过低的糖尿病;妊娠;比赛日前两周以内患过感冒;其它不适合运动的情况；

● 本次赛事主办方提供存包、饮水补给、完赛补给等服务，建议大家在活动开始前换好相应服装；

● 如遇不适合户外长跑的天气，如下雨及其他极端恶劣天气等，本次活动将延期举行。本活动最终解释权归主办方所有。

2015年9月25日，联合国可持续发展峰会正式通过17个可持续发展目标，提出我们面临的全球挑战，包括贫困、不平等、气候、环境退化等，旨在从2015年到2030年间以综合方式彻底解决社会、经济和环境三个维度的发展问题，转向可持续发展道路。

响应联合国17个可持续发展目标的号召，哈罗横琴在行动！本学年学校新成立了学生领导力组织“环保大使”，推广可持续的生活方式，还创立“环保护照”项目，表彰学生学习和践行可持续发展的努力和成果。

Wetlands and mangroves

- precious natural resources

From Hengqin to Qi'ao Island, spreading all over the area from south to north, Zhuhai has a total of 9,191.27 hectares of wetlands and 531.56 hectares of mangrove forests, among which there are 30 species of mangrove plants, making it one of the mangrove forests with the largest number of species of plants in China. There are about 347 species of wild animals, among which more than 180 kinds of birds have been monitored in the protected areas, including the black-faced spoonbills, yellow-billed egrets, white-bellied sea eagles and other national-level protected wild animals. There are dozens of thousands of birds staying and roosting in the area every year in fall and winter.

Wetland is the "kidney of the earth", and is one of the three major ecosystems of the earth, together with forests and oceans. Mangrove forests are important coastal wetland ecosystems, with a carbon sequestration capacity four times stronger than that of rainforests, and they can also protect against hurricanes and tsunamis, stabilize the shore and protect the dykes, and purify seawater and air. Protecting wetland ecosystems and maintaining and restoring mangrove forests play an irreplaceable role in protecting the genetic diversity of species and maintaining the ecological balance of the region.

Funds raised from this year's Harrow Hengqin Long Ducker will be donated to the Mangrove Conservation Foundation (MCF) for the promotion of mangrove protection, wetland education CEPA (Communication, Education, Participation and Awareness), migratory bird migration corridor protection and other public welfare work to rebuild the mangrove forests, and to love and care for the homeland we all depend on for our survival!

Registration is open to all Harrovians, parents, staff and anyone who are passionate about public welfare and education.

Registration Fee

The registration fee for the charity run is 128 RMB per person, all proceeds from the registration fee will be donated to the local charity foundations (Please note that after successful registration, if you are unable to participate for your own reasons on the day of the event, the registration fee will not be refunded).

Runways

The 2023 Harrow Hengqin Long Ducker is located at the Hengqin Rowing Park on the banks of the Tianmu River in the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone. All of the runways are dominated by walkways and greenways along the river, with beautiful scenery and fresh air, featuring the finesse of a modern urban design, as well as providing a pleasant and safe running environment for the runners.

Medals

● Prizes for the 8.5km run will be awarded to the top 3 men and top 3 women in the adult group (participants aged above 16) and the top 3 men and top 3 women in the children group (participants aged 16 and below).

●All finishers will receive a commemorative medal for finishing the running.

This is not a competitive event and is designed to encourage families and children in the Harrow community to work together. Please keep to your ability and if you experience any discomfort during the event, you should stop exercising at the first opportunity and seek help from the nearest staff in the vicinity.

Collecting Supplies Package

The package includes a sports bag, a number sticker and a customised cloth. Other suppliers, including beverage and snacks will be issued on that day.

● Time for collection：

January 19 Friday 9:30-12:00，14:00-17:00

January 20 Saturday 9:30-12:00，14:00-17:00

*This event is based on the collection of the supplies package as the final confirmation of participation, please follow the information prompts to collect the supplies package. Late pickup is considered giving up and will not be able to continue to participate in the program.

*The organiser will try the best to satisfy the participants' needs for customizing the size of the clothes. Please understand that the clothes will be made according to the registration information and will not be returned or exchanged once it is issued.

Registration Information

● Registration for the event is recommended for children between the ages of 3 and 18. Registration for the event is recommended for adult between the ages of 18 and 60. Children under the age of 12 are recommended to register for the 2.1km Mini Ducker and are required to be accompanied by at least one guardian to run with them.

● Those with the following conditions should not register: congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease; hypertension and cerebrovascular disease; myocarditis and other heart disease; coronary artery disease and severe arrhythmia; diabetes with high or low blood sugar; pregnancy; a cold or other respiratory disease within two weeks before the race day; other conditions that are not suitable for sports.

● The organisers of this event provide water refills and energy supplies. As we do not provide bag storage service, it is recommended that you change into the appropriate clothing before arriving at the school.

● In case of weather unsuitable for outdoor running, such as rain and other extreme weather conditions, the event will be postponed. The final right to interpret this event rests with the event organiser.

On September 25, 2015, the United Nations Summit on Sustainable Development officially adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which set out the global challenges we face, including poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, etc., with the aim of shifting to a path of sustainable development by thoroughly addressing the three dimensions of development, namely, the social, economic and environmental dimensions, in a holistic manner between 2015 and 2030.

Harrow Hengqin is taking action in response to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals! This year the school has established a new student leadership organization, "Sustainability Ambassador", to promote sustainable lifestyles, and created an " Sustainability Passport " programme to recognise students' efforts and achievements in learning and practicing sustainability.
