As the year draws to a close, we bid farewell to the old and welcome the new! The first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year at Victoria Park Academy came to a period yesterday. In this special moment, the faculty and staff of VPA and Kindergarten gathered together for a lively and extraordinary New Year's party, expressing gratitude to every member who has diligently contributed to the school.
To enhance the New Year atmosphere, we have specially invited a professional jazz band and a skilled BBQ chef, adding more joy to our celebration.
Dr. Koong and Ms. Liang joined us in delivering New Year blessings. Dr. Koong mentioned that the upcoming year will be the Year of the Dragon, a zodiac sign known for its courage, leadership, and protective spirit. We are excited about the arrival of the Year of the Dragon and hope that everyone can embody the qualities of a dragon—brave, powerful, and capable of protecting others. May Victoria continue to pursue excellence in teaching and innovation, becoming a leader in the education field.
Subsequently, everyone released the balloons from their seats, symbolizing letting go of worries from the past year and embracing the new year with a positive attitude.
In the workplace, conflicts, complaints, and misunderstandings are inevitable. We hope that everyone's worries can drift away like these balloons, soaring into the clouds until they disappear from our sight, and thus cease to exist.
While teachers are imparting knowledge to the children, they also learn a lot from them.
Children are always full of vitality,
always laughing heartily,
always embracing each other even after saying, "I won't play with you anymore."
As Dr. Koong mentioned, dragon symbolizes bravery, power, independence, and protection.
In this highly anticipated Year of the Dragon, let us all become stronger, strong enough to protect the ones that we care about.
