本学期，西亚斯外籍学校迎来了很多优秀的新面孔，也组织了许多重要且有意义的活动。在“兼容中西”的教育理念下，同学们不仅在学术方面取得了优异的成绩，更重要的是在组织参与学校丰富活动的当下，发现了各自的优势与热爱，全面发展，独立思考，成为自己。
Sias International School (Sias IS) welcomed many new students and held various important and meaningful events this semester. Under the guidance of the educational philosophy of ‘East meets West’, our students not only achieved outstanding results but also discovered their strengths and passion to think independently, become themselves and achieve full development through organizing and participating in school activities and events.

At Sias IS, we encourage students to communicate freely with teachers and to immerse in the sea of knowledge in a relaxing and pleasant environment. Through this, our students were able to get ready to learn from the first day of school.

西亚斯外籍学校鼓励学生发挥想象力，培养原创能力、表达能力及逻辑思维能力。学生们需要独立创作一本书，在家长面前展示并讲解。这不仅是学生们能力提升的途径，更是一次拉近亲子关系的恰时机会。
Sias IS encourages students to fully use their imagination and fosters the development of their creativity, expression and logical thinking skills. Students needed to create a book and then show and demonstrate it in front of parents. This not only is a way to improve their skills but also a good chance to build close parent-child relationships.

西亚斯外籍学校通过布置社区环境、讲述传统故事、制作中秋月饼、传颂中秋诗歌、开展家长茶话会等，让学生切身感受节日的氛围，传承发扬优秀传统文化。
Sias IS provides opportunities for students to experience festive vibes and inherit great traditional cultures through decorating the community, sharing stories about traditions, making moon cakes, reading poems about the festival, holding parent tea, etc.

作为IB世界学校的西亚斯外籍学校鼓励学生尊重并学习多元文化，明白如何勇敢得抵制错误行为，了解个体行为对社区的影响，探索沟通协作的意义。
Sias IS, as an IB world school, encourages students to respect and learn about different cultures, understand how to resist the wrongs, learn the influence that individual actions bring to the community and explore the meaningfulness of communication and cooperation.

西亚斯外籍学校以伙伴阅读、员工讲故事、猜猜谁在读书、图书交换日、睡衣亲子共读日五项大活动为主线，配合多项小活动穿插于每个教学日，让阅读不再是一件枯燥乏味的事，体验阅读乐趣，培养终身兴趣。
Literacy Week consisted of 5 main activities including: Buddy Reading, Staff Read-aloud, Guess Who is Reading, Book Swap, PJ Day & Read With Your Parents and some other activities that happened on every school day that week, which made reading no longer a tedious thing and allowed students to experience the pleasure that reading brought and to develop a life-long hobby.

三方会议是指学生、老师和学生父母三方共同参与的交流共识会议。每个学生将拥有15分钟时间向大家讲述个人优势、成长领域以及学习目标。而后通过多方的深入沟通，明确学生自身优势特长，并为其制定个性化成长计划。
The Three-Way Conference is a meeting that involves students, teachers and parents to communicate and share. Each student had 15 minutes to demonstrate their strengths, areas for improvement and learning goals. Through communication among different parties, they all had a better understanding of students’ strengths and talents, so individual development plans could be made.

基于IB探究式学习方法，学生们通过角色扮演和资料阐述，深入了解历史长河中伟大的探险家们。
Based on IB Inquiry Learning Approach, students learned more about great adventurers in history through role play and research.

为了让学生们了解并感受感恩节的魅力，老师带领学生们共同感恩身边的一切美好事物，同时也为全校师生准备了丰盛的感恩节盛筵。感恩于行，让爱传播。
In order for students to learn and experience the charm of Thanksgiving Day, teachers took students to be grateful for the beautiful things that surround them. In the meantime, we also prepared an amazing Thanksgiving lunch buffet for all students and school staff. Let us practice gratitude and spread love.

通过小组协作形式，学生们用废弃的材料手工制作出自己心目中的可持续发展城市，让可持续发展理念深入人心。
Through teamwork, students used discarded materials to create their dream sustainable development cities, which allowed the awareness of sustainable development to be rooted in our hearts.

“光之舞”点灯仪式是西亚斯外籍学校冬季最盛大的活动庆典，灯光的点亮，象征着对美好未来的希冀以及创建和谐校园的决心。活动以游戏派对、歌舞律动、点灯仪式、打卡拍照等环节，串联出一场精彩纷呈的活动。
“Dance of Lights” Tree Lighting Ceremony is the most important and largest event at Sias IS in winter. As we light up our tree, it symbolized hope, unity, and the promise of a brighter future. Activities such as Game Parties, Singing and Dancing, Tree Lighting and Photo Taking made up the whole ceremony.

西亚斯外籍学校一年一度的冬季音乐会，既是对学生近期音乐造诣的展示，更是以培养学生兴趣爱好为目的的长线型课程活动安排。学生们可以选择自己零基础且感兴趣的乐器，通过专业的培训以及团队协作，共同编织出一曲美妙的乐章。
Sias IS annual winter concert is not only the showcase of students’ recent achievements in music but also an event that aims to develop their interests and hobbies. Our students chose instruments that they were interested in and might not know how to play before to create beautiful melodies together through professional training and teamwork.

我校学生代表王熙怡、王怡鑫、郭泊言、郭矾羲四位同学荣获5个奖杯和34枚奖牌，并全部晋级全球赛。
Sias IS representatives Chloe Wang, Louis Wang, Wallace Guo and Fanxi Guo were honored with 5 trophies, 24 medals and were all qualified to advance to the Global Round of Competition.

Learning never happens just in classrooms and by reading books. Sias IS adheres to the advanced and evidence-based educational philosophy, together with guidance from the wonderful teaching faculty as well as our great culture life, for children to grow to be individuals who have critical thinking skills and take initiative to achieve. In an open-minded and relaxing learning environment, not only do students achieve higher scores in standard examinations, but also their habits, interests, community spirit and communication skills are fostered. This is our long-held belief and the spirit that we will continue to develop.
