Join us for STEAM Day, where children will dive into the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics through a series of captivating activities. From drones and robot soccer competitions to challenges like the Egg Drop and Earthquake-Proof Building contests, children will explore the fundamentals of physics, engineering, and creativity. They will experience the thrill of launching rockets, the artistry of ceramics, and the mesmerizing patterns of Spyro Art Design. This day is a unique opportunity to see how at AXIS we foster students' critical thinking, problem-solving, and imagination in a dynamic and interactive environment. Discover the excitement of learning and the joy of creating with us!

 

欢迎加入我们的STEAM活动日,孩子们将通过一系列引人入胜的活动潜入科学、技术、工程、艺术和数学的世界。从无人机和机器人足球比赛到像“鸡蛋降落伞”和抗震建筑等一系列挑战,孩子们将从中探索物理、工程和创造力的基础知识。他们将体验到发射火箭的紧张激动的心情,陶瓷的艺术性,以及Spyro艺术设计的迷人图案。这一天将是一个独特的机会,可以看到长菁是如何在一个充满活力和互动的环境中培养学生的批判性思维、解决问题的能力和想象力。快来和我们一起发现学习的兴奋和创造的快乐吧!


 

1⃣️ Drones:

 

In the drone activity, children will be introduced to the exciting world of drone technology. They will learn the basics of drone flight and explore the interdiv of technology and creativity. This engaging activity is designed to ignite a passion in young innovators, teaching them critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.

1⃣️ 无人机:

 

在无人机活动中,孩子们将会进入令人激动的无人机技术世界。他们将学习无人机飞行的基础知识,并探索技术与创造力的交集。这项引人入胜的活动旨在点燃年轻创新者的热情,在充满活力的环境中教会他们批判性思维和解决问题的技能。

 

2⃣️ Robot Soccer:

 

In the Robot Soccer activity, children will dive into the dynamic world of robotics. They will get hands-on experience with robotics by participating in a game of robot soccer, where the robots were assembled by students from our school. This approach to learning fosters critical thinking, creativity, and technological skills.

2⃣️ 机器人足球


在机器人足球活动中,孩子们将沉浸在机器人的动态世界中。他们将通过参加一场机器人足球比赛来获得机器人的实践经验,而这些机器人正是由我们学校的学生组装的。这种学习方法培养了批判性思维、创造力和技术技能。

 

3⃣️ Egg Drop:

 

In the Egg Drop activity, children will dive into the principles of physics and engineering as they design and build contraptions to protect an egg from a high fall. This hands-on activity encourages participants to think outside the box, using a variety of materials to find innovative solutions that will keep their egg intact. As they build and test their designs, students will develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, all while learning about the forces and materials that affect an egg's survival. The Egg Drop challenge is an engaging way to explore concepts of gravity, motion, and material science, fostering a love for learning and an appreciation for the intricacies of engineering.

3⃣️ 鸡蛋降落伞

 

在鸡蛋降落伞活动中,孩子们通过设计和建造新奇的装置来保护鸡蛋从高处安全落下,从而深入了解物理学和工程学的原理,他们。这个实践活动鼓励参与者跳出思维定式,使用各种材料找到创新的解决方案,使他们的鸡蛋完好无损。当他们建造和测试他们的设计时,学生们的批判性思维和解决问题的能力将得以发展,同时学习影响鸡蛋生存的力量和材料。鸡蛋降落伞挑战是一种探索重力、运动和材料科学概念的有趣方式,培养对学习的热爱和对工程复杂性的欣赏。

 

4⃣️ Building Earthquake Proof Buildings and Shake Table:

 

The “Building Earthquake Proof Buildings and Shake Table” STEAM challenge combines creativity, engineering, and fun! Children are invited to dive into the world of design and innovation. With just spaghetti, marshmallows, and tape, the challenge is to construct the tallest structure that can withstand the rumble of our shake table for 10 seconds. This hands-on activity is designed to spark imagination and teach the principles of architectural design and earthquake engineering in an engaging way. Equipped with scissors, rulers, and binder clips, each group will have the tools needed to bring their structures to life.

4⃣️ 建造防震建筑与抖动桌

 

“建造防震建筑与抖动桌”STEAM挑战集创意、工程和乐趣于一体!孩子们被邀请进入设计和创新的世界。通过用意大利面,棉花糖和胶带,我们的挑战是建造的结构,而且能承受抖动桌10秒的隆隆声。这个实践活动旨在激发想象力,并以一种引人入胜的方式教授建筑设计和地震工程的原理。我们会配备剪刀、尺子和活页夹,每个小组都将拥有使他们的结构栩栩如生所需的工具。


5⃣️ Rocket Building and Launching:

 

The "Rocket Building and Launching" STEAM activity propels students into the heart of aerospace engineering and physics, using simple materials like paper, tape, and plastic bottles. In this engaging project, students work in pairs to design, build, and launch their own rockets, learning about air pressure, force, motion, and the essentials of rocket design. This hands-on experience not only deepens their understanding of physics but also encourages creativity as students decorate their rockets, making each creation unique. Through teamwork, they'll navigate challenges, apply scientific principles, and refine their designs for improved flight. The project culminates in a rocket launch, testing their engineering skills and showcasing their creativity.

5⃣️ 火箭制造和发射:

 

“火箭制造和发射”STEAM活动利用纸张、胶带和塑料瓶等简单材料,将学生带入航空航天工程和物理学的核心。在这个引人入胜的项目中,学生们俩俩结对设计、建造和发射自己的火箭,学习气压、力、运动和火箭设计的基本要素。这种实践体验不仅加深了他们对物理的理解,而且在学生装饰火箭的过程中激发了他们的创造力,使每个作品都与众不同。通过团队合作,他们将应对挑战,应用科学原理,并改进他们的设计,以改进飞行。这个项目在火箭发射这一环节中到达高光时刻,测试了他们的工程技能,展示了他们的创造力。

 

6⃣️ Ceramics:

 

Engage in creating ceramic art using modern technology and ancient knowledge rooted in Chinese history.We will explore a mixture of pottery approaches including wheel throwing, slab and coil construction techniques.Once your pottery is dried it will be fired in our state-of-the-art kiln reaching temperatures of over 1000 degrees Celsius. The malleable clay shape by hand will transform into a durable and permanent ceramic material.

6⃣️ 陶瓷艺术

 

运用现代技术和植根于中国历史的古老知识从事陶瓷艺术创作。我们将探索混合的陶器方法,包括车轮投掷,板和线圈施工技术。当你的陶器干燥,它将在我们最先进的窑炉达到1000摄氏度以上的温度进行烧制。手工制作的可塑的的粘土形状会转变成耐用、永久的陶瓷材料。

 

7⃣️ Sphero Art Design:

 

For this workshop, students will use technology and traditional art materials to create art by recording and capturing movement.


Spheroes are small spherical robots that can be controlled and programmed using three different methods. 


The workshop will be divided into two parts one will involve dipping the Spheros in paint and recording their paths to make an abstract artwork. The second half will be using long exposure photos to capture the movement of the Spheros lights in the dark.

7⃣️ Sphero机器人艺术设计

 

在这个工作坊中,学生将使用科技和传统的艺术材料,通过记录和捕捉动作来创作艺术。


Spheroes是一种小型球形机器人,可以使用三种不同的方法进行控制和编程。


工作坊将分为两个部分,第一部分将涉及将球体浸入油漆中并记录其路径以制作抽象艺术品。后半部分将使用长时间曝光的照片来捕捉Spheros灯光在黑暗中的运动。
