【获奖捷报】西亚斯外籍学校学生挑战DI创新思维活动竞赛

DI（Destination Imagination）目的地想象入选2023年全球最值得关注的100项创新教育项目之一。3月9日，DI创新思维活动于浙江宁波举办。西亚斯外籍人员子女学校积极促成合作，鼓励学生丰富竞赛履历，进行指导培训。由教练Audrey Gagnaire和Lara Zhao带队，学生Apple Song，Jeremy Su，Luke Wang，Mia Yu，QQ Jin，Peterson Niu组成西亚斯外籍学校学生代表团，与来自全国数百支创意精英团队齐聚于此，展开激烈的角逐，并一举拿下即兴类挑战三等奖奖杯。这不仅是一次创意火花的碰撞，更是一场激发创新思维、锻炼团队协作能力的盛会。
DI (Destination Imagination) was chosen as one of the top 100 education innovations to watch in 2023. DI Competition was held in Ningbo, Zhejiang on March 9th. Sias International School (Sias IS) actively cooperated with the organization, encouraged students to fulfill their experiences in competitions and provided guidance and training for them. Led by Ms. Audrey Gagnaire and Ms. Lara Zhao, Team Sias IS was formed by students Apple Song, Jeremy Su, Luke Wang, Mia Yu, QQ Jin, Peterson Niu. They competed with hundreds of other great teams from all over the country, and won the third prize in the Improvisation Challenge, which not only drove innovation but also was a fest that fostered creative thinking and teamwork.

本次大赛围绕创新思维展开科学、技术、艺术、工程、数学五大学科领域的深度探讨与竞技，从而激发了青年学者对不同学科的兴趣，并培养个人自信、团队合作、国际沟通、创新与思辨、项目管理等核心素养，成就高素质学者与领袖。
Participants discussed and competed in 5 Disciplines: Science, Technology, Art, Engineering and Math. This helps inspire youth’s interests in different subject areas and foster the development of core competencies such as self-confidence, teamwork, global communication, innovation and inquiry, project management, etc., as well as prepare them to be highly skilled scholars and leaders.

创新是一个国家进步的灵魂，更是整个社会兴旺发达不竭的动力。西亚斯外籍学校在培养全人的教育理念背后，是为社会输送高素质人才的决心。因此，除过接轨国际的课程体系及教育方针，我们也积极促成学生在课堂之外的社会实践与大赛履历，DI创新思维活动就是其中之一。
Innovation is not only the core of a country’s progress but also the fuel of prosperity and development of the whole society. With the educational philosophy of whole-person cultivation, Sias IS is determined to cultivate high-skilled talents for society. Therefore, apart from the internationally recognized curriculum and educational goals, our school also encourages students to actively participate in more social projects and competitions outside the class. DI Competition is one of them.

西亚斯外籍学校学生代表们通过本次活动，不仅极大提升了个人创新思维和问题解决能力，还结识到了来自全国各地的优秀青少年。拓宽视野的同时，也增长了见识。在未来，西亚斯外籍学校将不断强化为学生提供个性化发展、培育国际化高素质人才的教育理念，引进各类高质量赛事，提升我校学生竞争力。
Through this competition, Sias International students learned vital life and career skills such as creative thinking and problem-solving, they also made friends and competed with teenagers from all over the country, which not only broadened their horizons but also helped them to see a bigger world. In the future, Sias IS will keep providing personalized development for our students and stepping up efforts in the cultivation of globally minded, highly skilled talent, and will also introduce all kinds of high-quality competitions to boost our students’ competitiveness.
