On January 30th, Orient Speech Therapy Center (OST) and International Schools Services (ISS) signed a strategic cooperation agreement, jointly announcing the initiation of the Allied Health School Services Program.
According to the agreement, both parties aim to assemble a proficient team of certified, multilingual allied health professionals dedicated to promptly identifying, assessing, and assisting students facing challenges in speech, language, learning, social, emotional, psychological, and behavioral domains. The overarching objective of the initiative is to optimise children's communication, learning, and academic achievements through comprehensive allied health interventions.
The Allied Health School Services Program encompasses a diverse range of services provided by a cohesive allied health team, to create a village. Within this village, professionals possess specialised expertise in identifying, assessing, diagnosing, devising, and executing individualised or school-based therapy or support plans. Moreover, they work together with the school community to provide training for teachers and support staff, educational sessions for parents, and foster seamless collaboration between school, home, and therapy environments.
Mr. Yao Qiushun, on behalf of OST, warmly welcomes the arrival of the ISS team. He expressed that OST places great emphasis on the development of health education. This collaboration holds significance not only for the education service industry in China but is also considered a major initiative from an international perspective. The partnership aims not only to cater to children with special needs but also to serve a broader population of students within international schools. The goal is to create an all-encompassing health education platform, scientifically and effectively implementing intervention concepts at home, in school, and within institutions.
Mr. Yao believes that, with the international influence of ISS and the joint efforts of OST’s professional team, this collaborative service plan is bound to achieve complete success. It is anticipated to bring hope and positive transformation to a greater number of children in the international community.
Mr. Greg Smith, representing ISS, expresses gratitude to OST for the trust and support. He emphasizes that this collaboration holds milestone significance. It marks the beginning of effective cooperation between a domestic institution focused on children's speech, behavior, and physical intelligence development and an international education institution. This partnership accelerates new developments in globalized international education health services.
He looks forward to the joint efforts of both parties, aiming to contribute to more international schools and the global education community. The goal is to create a replicable ,scalable and sustainable model, truly achieving the objective of "Raising a benchmark and nurturing an ecological forest."
After the signing, both parties will establish a close, stable, and enduring strategic partnership. On one hand, it seeks to offer more comprehensive and professional joint health service support for international schools. On the other hand, this partnership aims to provide better allied health experts and technical services for children in need. During the collaboration, both parties will continually review their experiences, optimize service processes, and strive to implement an international and scientific educational perspective. The aim is to assist every child in need in uncovering their intrinsic value and helping them integrate more healthily and prosperously into society.
