校际交流|福建中学附属学校赴佛山ASJ,深度体验小学部探究式课堂

3月28日,佛山ASJ小学部又迎来了“新朋友”。香港福建中学附属学校的区倩欣老师、丁思敏老师、方智昌老师带领4位G5的学生到访佛山ASJ,体验港澳子弟学校多姿多彩的校园生活,感受小学部“香港课程+IB国际课程框架”的独特之处,在友好互动中加强粤港两地学校间的合作与交流。


Is it not delightful to have friends coming from distant quarters?


On March 28th, the Primary Section of ASJ-Foshan welcomed "new friends". Ms. Angela, Ms. Lena and Mr. Square from Fukien Secondary School Affiliated School of Hong Kong lead four G5 students to visit ASJ-Foshan to experience the colorful campus life of the school for Hong Kong and Macao students. They experienced the unique combination of the "Hong Kong Curriculum + IB International Curriculum Framework" in the Primary Section, and strengthened the cooperation and communication between schools in Guangdong and Hong Kong through friendly interaction.



SCHOOL LIFE IN ASJ-FOSHAN



为了让新同学熟悉佛山ASJ校园,G5的同学孩子们作为小小东道主,讨论研究和设计了参观的路线,并手绘了一副佛山ASJ游览路线图,主动承担起校园“小导游”的角色,为福建中学附属学校的老师和同学介绍学校的各个功能场所,分享自己在校园中的点滴经历,让大家在新的环境中也能感受到家的温暖。


To familiarize the new students with the campus, students from G5, as the little hosts, discussed, researched, and designed the visiting route. They also drew a hand-drawn map of the campus  and took the initiative to serve as "little tour guides" to introduce the various functions of the school for the teachers and students of Fukien Secondary School Affiliated School, shared their own experiences in the campus, and made everyone feel at home in the new environment.



这是图书馆,我们课后时间会在这里阅读、自习,有时还能用ipad进行探究学习。


This is the library where we spend our after-school time reading, studying on our own, and sometimes using our ipads for inquiry-based learning.

我们深知教育的魅力在于其多样性和包容性。为了直观呈现佛山ASJ独特的教学理念和创新的教学方法,我们邀请福建中学附属学校的同学和老师加入课堂,思考两校在教学理念和实践上的共性与差异,推动粤港两地教育交流。


We understand that the charm of education lies in its diversity and inclusiveness. In order to visually present ASJ-Foshan's unique teaching concepts and innovative teaching methods, we invited students and teachers from Fukien Secondary School Affiliated School to join the classroom to reflect on the commonalities and differences in teaching concepts and practices between the two schools, and to promote educational exchanges between Guangdong and Hong Kong.



在中文探究课上,大家以无领导小组讨论的形式,共同学习了经典文学作品《草船借箭》的深刻内涵。课堂上,同学们主动参与、积极发言,展现出了浓厚的学习热情。


In the Chinese inquiry class, the profound connotation of the classic literary work "Borrowing Arrows on a Grass Boat" was studied together in the form of a no-leadership group discussion. In the classroom, students took the initiative to participate and speak actively, showing a strong enthusiasm for learning.



随着课程的深入,同学们从人物性格、故事情节、文化背景等多个角度对《草船借箭》进行了全面的剖析。此外,无领导小组讨论的形式也让同学们学会了如何与他人合作、如何倾听他人的意见、如何表达自己的观点。在讨论中,佛山ASJ的学子们与福建中学附属学校的学子们互相尊重、互相学习,形成了一种良好的学习氛围。


As the course progressed, the students analyzed "Borrowing Arrows from a Straw Boat" comprehensively from various perspectives, such as character, storyline and cultural background. In addition, the no-leadership group discussion format allowed students to learn how to cooperate with others, how to listen to others' opinions and how to express their own views. During the discussion, the students of ASJ-Foshan and the students of Fukien Secondary School Affiliated School respected each other and learned from each other, forming a good learning atmosphere.



如果说中文探究课是对文学素养的熏陶,那么科创课则为福建中学附属学校同学带来了更新奇的实践体验。


If the Chinese inquiry Class is an inculcation of literary literacy, the Science and Creativity Class brings a newer and more exciting practical experience to the students of Fukien Secondary School Affiliated School.



作为展现学生创新思维和实践能力的舞台,这次科创课的任务是分组用乐高积木搭建一艘陆地快艇。搭建过程中,大家认真研读图纸,讨论快艇的各个部分应该如何搭建,遇到问题时相互协作,共同寻找解决方案。通过亲自动手,两校同学一起深入了解了快艇的结构和原理,也学会了如何在团队中发挥自己的优势,与他人共同完成任务。


As a stage to show students' innovative thinking and practical ability, the task of this sci-tech class was to build a land speedboat with Legos in groups. During the construction process, students from both schools gave full play to their imagination and creativity. They studied the drawings carefully, discussed how to build each part of the speedboat, and collaborated with each other to find solutions when they encountered problems. Through hands-on experience, the students gained a deeper understanding of the structure and principles of a speedboat, and also learned how to play to their strengths in a team and work together with others to complete a task.



通过强调学生主体性和实践性的课程体验,佛山ASJ“培养学生综合发展和应用共通能力,成为独立和自主的学习者”的宗旨得到进一步体现,并为福建中学附属学校的同学们留下了深刻的印象。


Through curriculum experiences that emphasize student agency and practice, ASJ-Foshan's mission of "fostering students' comprehensive development and application of generic skills to become independent and self-directed learner" is further embodied, and left a deep impression on the students of Fukien Secondary School Affiliated School.



此次福建中学附属学校师生团到访,不仅增进了两校之间的友谊与交流,也为同学们提供了一个难得的学习与成长的机会。4月9日,佛山ASJ小学部也将前往福建中学附属学校开展研学交流活动,期待大家的又一次相见!


The visit of the Fukien Secondary School Affiliated School's teacher and student group not only enhanced the friendship and exchanges between the two schools, but also provided a rare opportunity for the students to learn and grow. On April 9th, the primary Section of ASJ-Foshan will also visit Fukien Secondary School Affiliated School for a field trip, looking forward to meeting them again!
