As a student guide at the recent ISA Achievement Exhibition, Liang enthusiastically led visitors through the distinctive Lingnan cultural square courtyards, vast natural grass soccer fields, modern classrooms, and laboratories, showcasing the impressive achievements of the math club and the environmental club.


Faced with the question from visiting parents, "Why choose ISA for education?" Liang responded without hesitation.

早在入学前,我就听闻爱莎荔湾配备有丰富教学经验的中外籍教师和高度专业素养的管理团队;来到学校后,着实深刻感受到了学校的学术资源之优秀:小班教学超高师生比,我们学生方方面面的个性化学习需求都得到了针对性的指导和帮助



学校将IB全人教育理念贯彻在方方面面,比如,以探究式学习为特色的课程体系就让我受益颇深。


以数学课为例,老师不仅注重培养我们的批判性思维,鼓励我们提出自己的见解和创新的解题思路,通过小组合作的形式共同探讨难题,学会从不同角度思考和解决问题;也十分重视我们对基础知识的掌握和数学思维的培养,耐心细致地为我们梳理知识体系。



在自主探究的学习模式中,我逐渐掌握了快速查阅资料的方法,问题思考和解决能力、团队协作能力也得到了飞速提升。我同样也希望能够通过探究的方式探索我未来的发展方向。




在升学指导老师的建议下,我参加了CSMC加拿大滑铁卢大学高中生数学竞赛、HOSA化学竞赛、欧几里得数学竞赛,都取得了不错的成绩。未来我还要参加物理奥赛等……


在准备比赛的过程中吸收更多的学科知识、巩固和完善自己的知识体系。

Inquiry-based Learning

Even before enrolling, I had heard about ISA Liwan's rich teaching experience Chinese and foreign teachers and a highly professional management team. After coming to school, I truly experienced the school's outstanding academic resources: small class sizes, an extremely high teacher-student ratio, and personalized guidance and assistance for all our diverse learning needs.



The school incorporates the IB holistic education philosophy in all aspects. For example, the characteristic curriculum system of inquiry-based learning has greatly benefited me. 


Taking mathematics class as an example, the teachers not only focus on cultivating our critical thinking, encouraging us to present our own insights and innovative problem-solving approaches, but also attach great importance to our mastery of fundamental knowledge and nurturing of mathematical thinking. They patiently and meticulously organize the knowledge system for us.


The self-directed inquiry learning mode  has helped me gradually master the method of quickly accessing information, improven problem-solving abilities and teamwork skills, and explore my future development direction.




At the suggestion of the college counseling teacher, I participated in the CSMC Canadian University of Waterloo High School Mathematics Competition, HOSA Chemistry Competition, and Euclidean Mathematics Competition, all achieving good results; in the future, I will also participate in physics competitions...


I absorb more knowledge and consolidate and perfect my knowledge system during the preparation process.

在这里,我不需要一开始就在IB和ALevel之间做出选择。作为十年级学生,我可以先尝试不同的学科和课程,老师也会根据我的兴趣和优势来为我参考学习计划。


其实,我并不只是追求进入顶尖大学名校,我更希望能够在学习的过程中收获全人发展。爱莎荔湾确实也为我提供了这样的环境来挑战自己、发掘潜力。














在英语学习方面,有外籍老师和专业课程来帮助我们全方位提高英语的听说读写能力,以及掌握应试技巧;在每周两次的竞赛指导课,老师会充分考虑到我们的学习进度和学科基础,根据我们的情况来查漏补缺和拓展提升,为了更好更深入地学习,我也会自学大学公开课来掌握知识和收获乐趣。

特别值得一提的是上学期我参加的CCA板球课。我们在深入了解板球运动的起源和规则后,在体育馆通过分组对抗的实践练习来掌握和提升自己的板球技能。我们还学习了板球的战术策略,包括如何通过对手的特点来及时调整战术、如何在团队中发挥自己的优势……



在爱莎荔湾的学习,不局限不设限,随时都充满了挑战和乐趣。

The school provides me with a personalized learning and growth path, allowing me to freely explore my interests and potentials, which is also a major reason why I chose ISA Liwan.

Here, I don't need to choose between IB and ALevel from the beginning. As a Grade 10 student, I can first try different subjects and courses, and teachers will also refer to my interests and strengths to plan my learning path. 


In fact, I am not just pursuing admission to top universities; I also hope to achieve holistic development in the learning process. ISA Liwan indeed provides me with such an environment to challenge myself and discover my potential.















In terms of English learning, foreign teachers and professional courses help us improve our English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills comprehensively, as well as master exam skills; in the bi-weekly competition guidance classes, teachers fully consider our learning progress and subject foundation to fill in gaps and expand improvements according to our situation, for better and deeper learning, I also self-study university open courses to acquire knowledge and enjoy pleasure.

My participation in the CCA cricket course last semester can further demonstrate the school’s commitment to personalized learning. After a deep understanding of the origin and rules of cricket, we practiced and improved our cricket skills through practical exercises in the gymnasium's group confrontation. We also learned cricket tactics, including how to timely adjust tactics based on opponents' characteristics and how to play to our strengths in the team...

全面发展&实践中收获

于我而言,学习不仅是为了取得优秀的成绩,更重要的是培养自己的综合能力和素质。在这方面,学校提供给了我很多社会实践的机会,让我能够在实践中锻炼自己、提升自己。


在这学期的CCA课程中,我参加了环保社团,与同学们一起在学校空地上种起了蔬菜。从生长周期、土壤环境、气温降水等多方面来综合考量,我们先是成功种出了一波绿意蓬勃的生菜,现在还种起了小葱、辣椒、红苋菜等农作物……在环保社的丰富活动中,我们将生物与地理的跨学科知识融会贯通付诸实践



同时,我们也充分展示了自己过往所积累的能力:认真整理财务报表,确保每一笔支出都在合理范围内;积极与学校行政市场部门沟通合作,将辛勤耕耘收获的蔬菜精心包装,打造成具有学校特色的纪念品,赠予前来参加爱莎成果展的访校家长。在这其中,我们也深刻体会到了团队合作的力量付出后有所收获的喜悦
