PD Day|教师专业日:多元赋能佛山ASJ教师成长

Professional Development Day


为激发教师的专业成长潜力进一步提升教学质量,4月12日,佛山ASJ组织教师团队开展教师专业日活动,共同探讨教育理念、教学方法等,并进行DSE课程校本评核、心理健康、生活老师工作的系统培训。同时学校还邀请了石门中学语文备课组长林怀文老师,为我校教师进行班主任教育及师生关系讲座分享,教学相长,帮助教师们不断成长,为教学工作注入活力和动力。


In order to stimulate the professional growth potential of teachers to further improve the quality of teaching, on April 12, ASJ-Foshan organized teachers to hold a Professional Development Day for teachers to discuss educational concepts, teaching methods, etc.,  as well as to conduct systematic training on the DSE curriculum school-based assessment, mental health, and the work of life teachers. At the same time, the school also invited Mr. Lin Huaiwen, the leader of the Chinese lesson preparation team from Shimen Middle School, to share with our teachers about classroom teacher education and teacher-student relationship in the lectures, so that teaching and learning can help the teachers to grow continuously, injecting vitality and motivation into teaching work.



首先,教学总监刘启彬为大家详细解读了本学年的教师评估方案。他强调了观课和评课的重要性,对评课标准进行了深入的讲解。不仅有助于教师明确自己的教学目标和方向,还能帮助他们在日常教学中更加精准地评估自己的教学效果。


Firstly, Poul Lou, Academic Director, explained in details about the teacher evaluation plan for the academic year. He emphasized the importance of lesson observation and evaluation and gave an in-depth explanation of the evaluation criteria. It not only helps teachers to clarify their teaching goals and directions, but also helps them to more accurately assess their teaching effectiveness in their daily teaching.



校本评核是DSE课程教学过程中的重要环节,赖永春总校长为大家着重介绍了校本教核的标准及安排,详细阐述了校本教师评核的标准,以提升学生对学习的兴趣及内驱力,养成良好的学习习惯。通过校本评核,教师也能更加全面地了解学生的学习状况,为今后的教学提供有力的支持。


School-based assessment (SBA) is an important part of the teaching and learning process of the DSE program. Chief Principal Lai Yongchun highlighted the standards and arrangements for SBA, elaborating on the criteria of SBA to enhance students' interest and internal motivation in learning, develop good learning habits. With the SBA, teachers are also able to have a more comprehensive understanding of their students' learning status, which will provide a strong support for their future teaching and learning.



当天,学校特邀石门中学语文备课组组长林怀文老师进行了一场精彩的讲座,内容聚焦于班主任教育、学生行为规律的培养和师生关系的建立。林老师通过生动的案例和实用的技巧,向佛山ASJ的教师们传授了如何更好地理解和引导学生,以及如何建立和谐、有效的师生关系,这不仅有助于提升教师的教学效果,也对他们的个人成长和职业发展具有积极的影响。


On that day, the school invited Mr. Lin Huaiwen, the leader of the Chinese lesson preparation team from Shimen Middle School, to give a wonderful lecture focusing on the education of homeroom teachers, the cultivation of students' behavioral rules, and the establishment of teacher-student relationships. Through vivid cases and practical skills, Mr. Lin taught ASJ-Foshan teachers how to better understand and guide their students, as well as how to establish harmonious and effective teacher-student relationships, which not only helps to enhance teachers' teaching effectiveness, but also has a positive impact on their personal growth and professional development.



在提升教师素质方面,学校也通过校外培训的方式为生活老师和心理老师提供专业指导,帮助他们在日常工作中能够更好地保障学生的身心健康,全方位护航学生成长。


In terms of improving the quality of teachers, the school also provides professional guidance to boarding staff  and psychology teachers, helping  them better ensure the physical and mental health of students in their daily work, and escort the growth of students in an all-round way.


在佛山市红十字会,生活老师系统学习了海姆立克急救法、创伤救护技术讲解等,并参与心肺复苏考核,提升自身在面对紧急情况的专业技能,确保学生在校园生活中的安全与健康。


Through the first aid lectures of Foshan Red Cross, the boarding staff systematically learnt the Heimlich maneuver, trauma rescue technique explanation, etc., and participated in the CPR examination to improve their professional skills in the face of emergencies and to ensure the safety and health of the students in the campus life.



在华南地区咨询师春季会议上,心理老师则参与了包含正面管教,支持第三文化或跨文化学生,SEL与文学学科融合,心理动力学视角下的学校心理辅导,低自尊学生的心理韧性培养等多个内容的培训。


At the South China Counselor Network Spring Conference, the psychology teachers participated in trainings that encompassed a variety of topics including Positive Discipline, Supporting Third Culture or Intercultural Students, Integration of SEL and Literature Disciplines, School Counseling from a Psychodynamic Perspective, and Developing Mental Toughness in Low Self-Esteem Students, providing students with more holistic and detailed care and support.



教师专业日的开展,积极赋能教师团队专业成长,学校将进一步提供更多培训形式与内容,推动教师队伍的整体素质和教育教学水平的提高。


Professional Development Day empowers the teachers' team to grow professionally. The school will further provide more training forms and contents to promote the overall quality of the teachers' team and the improvement of education and teaching level.
