Last weekend (April 19th-21st), the Sias International School Middle School Basketball Team participated in the Fujian Inter-School Sports and Cultural Association (FISSCA) U15 Basketball Tournament, hosted by Manilla Xiamen International School (MXIS) in Xiamen.

The event showcased the remarkable progress the players have made as they competed against four other schools from the Fujian region. The team's performance improved throughout the tournament, highlighting their excellent teamwork and determination as they played five games over two days.

本次锦标赛过程中，球员们与来自福建四所学校的球员进行比赛交流，并在比赛过程中展示了卓越的训练成果。本次锦标赛，队员们两天内进行了五场比赛，他们在比赛中表现沉稳，并充分凸显了出色的团队合作和必胜决心。

Coach Komni Chourio commented on the team’s success in the tournament: “In every game our basketball team played in the tournament, I saw growth, tenacity, and teamwork. Our players faced many challenges, and they left everything on the court. It was a joy to see our players competing and having fun.”

对于球队在锦标赛中的成功，教练Komni Chourio表示：“在篮球队锦标赛的每一场比赛中，我都可以看到球员们的成长、坚韧和团队协作。我们的球员面临着很多挑战，但他们全力以赴。当看到球员们享受着比赛和竞技时，我感到非常高兴！”

Speaking on their experience at the tournament, Dyan (MYP 2 student) said, “The tournament was great. We were disappointed with the results, but we are determined to get better, train harder, and improve for next year.”

This was also the students’ first travel tournament, which brought additional challenges for the players who had to cope with the demands of traveling and playing in front of opposition supporters. Athletic Director Matthew Inwood said, “The tournament was a great success as it provided a fantastic opportunity for our players to develop both athletically and socially. We could not be more proud in how they performed across the whole tournament.”
