This year, we are delighted to open our second boarding house, catering specifically to Prep School students.
All rooms in the Prep Boarding House are Quadruple rooms. These are for our younger students (Years 2 - 6) and have been meticulously designed with our younger students in mind. Instead of loft beds, we have opted for ground-level beds and accessible storage to ensure both convenience and safety. The spacious layout encourages play and exploration, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for rest and creative activities. In addition, these rooms are equipped with two bathrooms consisting of a shower, toilet, sink, and storage area.
The Prep Students' social room on the fifth floor is a hub of activity and relaxation. This well-appointed space includes a variety of board games and toys, a table tennis and pool table for lively competition, and a colourful play area. A television is also available for movie nights and karaoke sessions.
Quadruple rooms in the Secondary Boarding House are for our younger students (Years 7 - 9); each student will have a cabin bed with storage – an area to hang garments and three drawers. The bed comes with a built-in desk and an additional chair. A night light is also supplied. In addition, these rooms are equipped with two bathrooms consisting of a shower, toilet, sink, and storage area.
Twin rooms are for Year 10-13 students; each student will have a bed with storage beneath it, and additional storage in the form of a single wardrobe is provided. In addition, the room has a study area with desks and extra chairs. A night light is also supplied. These rooms are equipped with a bathroom consisting of a shower, toilet, sink, and storage area.
Common areas include social rooms, and evening school study rooms are located on the fifth floor. Social events take place in the social room, including monthly birthday parties, festive celebrations, Karaoke, and movie evenings.
The social rooms are hubs of activity with comfortable seating, a large TV, a projector, a pool table, and various board games.
The study room is a large room with desks provided for all Years 7–9 students; Years 10-13 students may work in study studios and from their bedrooms to prepare for external examinations.
Looking ahead, the anticipation mounts as plans are unveiled for the expansion of House facilities. Come the next academic year, each House will be equipped with three dedicated rooms on Floor 1 of the Boarding House blocks, providing ample space for meetings, activities, and collaboration. This exciting development promises to further enhance the House experience, providing students with conducive environments to connect, learn, and grow together.
Laundry, Cleaning & Healthcare
Our professional laundry room and cleaning team ensure that students enjoy a clean and comfortable living environment. Bed linen is changed weekly, and personal laundry days are scheduled twice a week.
Additionally, our medical centre is staffed with resident nurses available 24/7 to provide prompt and effective care for minor injuries and illnesses.
We hope you enjoy this guided tour of our boarding houses. Please stay tuned for our upcoming articles and videos as we delve deeper into the boarding life at LEH Foshan. In the coming weeks, we will have the opportunity to interview members of our boarding team and speak with students about their experiences, providing further insight into the benefits of boarding and the unique opportunities it offers for personal and academic growth.
