On his 70th birthday, Charlie Chaplin, a legend of the silent film era, wrote a long poem, "As I Began to Love Myself," stating his profound feelings about self-esteem, self-acceptance, and personal growth, and encouraging readers to think about how they can relate to themselves in a healthier.
Under this theme, ASJ-Foshan's "525 Love Myself Week" series of activities gave students more opportunities to talk to themselves and to think about their own selves, their dreams, and their futures.
When we feel pleasure, happiness, and fulfillment, a smile is the truest emotional reflection
In this activity, every student can use a paintbrush to paint their brightest smile on the display board. Everyone can choose as many bright colors as they like to make the smile more vivid and bright. these smiling faces reflected the creativity and enthusiasm of the students, and became a bright landscape on the Foshan ASJ campus.
As students stood one by one in front of the wall, admiring each other's work, they couldn't help but give out compliments, an atmosphere that filled the entire campus with warmth and confidence.
The management and knowledge of emotions is one of the core components of the SEL Program. The Bad Mood Recycle Bin and the Good Mood Wall provide students with practical and creative ways to deal with emotions and promote positive feelings.
If they are feeling down, students can write down their negative emotions and put them in a shredder to "shred" them and symbolically get rid of them, thereby recognizing that bad emotions can be managed and dealt with.
Students who are in a good mood can write down anything they feel happy, grateful or positive about on a card, hang it on a display board for others to read and draw positive energy from, creating a positive, supportive learning environment that enhances emotional resilience in students.
This is not only an opportunity for emotional catharsis, but also allows students to learn to focus on others with empathy and create a warm campus environment for each other.

Social Emotional Learning
In order to deepen students' understanding of the SEL program, the school also conducted a "SEL Quiz". By answering questions on concepts such as RULER and Mood-Meter, students not only strengthened their self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, social consciousness, and ability to make responsible decisions, but also received a generous planting reward.
As a fun way of learning, this not only enhances the attractiveness of mental health education, but also lays a solid foundation for students' future self-management.
The "Botanical Topiary" activity allowed students to vent their inner emotions by beating on plants. They created unique works of art on pieces of cloth with the color imprints from the plants, which was not only a way to vent their emotions, but also cultivated the students' artistic creativity.
This kind of integrated expression of emotion can undoubtedly help students relieve their stress and rekindle their inner passion.
Finally, in the " Future Me" theme exhibition, students used their rich imagination to depict their bright future. Some students drew their own realization of their ideals, while others sketched out a campus life full of hope.
These works of art spread the desire for a better future, and gave students positive energy to encourage them to pay more attention to today's life. This vision of the future will surely become an unforgettable memory of campus life.
This colorful "5.25 Love Myself Week" activities not only help students learn to pay attention to their hearts and enhance their self-knowledge, but also injects the campus with full of positive energy.
Let's work together for the healthy growth of students, and let the campus be full of love and hope!
