In the pursuit of academic excellence and his dream school, through his hard work and persistence, he successfully gained admission to the Earth Science major at Imperial College London and the Mathematics and Computer Science double major at the University of Waterloo in Canada.

尽管学习成绩非常优秀，但在来到法拉古特英联邦方向班正式就读前，他在初中就有想要就读国际化高中的想法。

Despite excellent academic performance, even before formally enrolling in the Farragut A-Level class, he had the idea of attending an international high school during junior high.

辗转市内多所国内教育体系和国际化学校后，他最终选择在高中阶段入读法拉古特学校，正式开启逐梦之旅。

After exploring various domestic education systems and international schools in the city, he ultimately chose to formally enroll in Farragut School at the high school stage, officially starting his dream-building journey.

Achieving Self-Realization in the A-Level Class

在法拉古特的英联邦方向班中，Benson很快找到属于自己的舞台。在这里，经验丰富的教师团队，适合中国学生申请的课程设置，都让他有种如鱼得水的舒适感。

In the A-Level class at Farragut, Benson quickly found his own stage. Here, the experienced team of teachers and the curriculum tailored for Chinese students applying for study abroad made him feel comfortable as if he was in his element.

在数学、物理和化学等优势科目上，Benson校内展现出自己的才华，频频在各种考试中取得优异成绩。学习之外大量的自由时间，也让自驱力十足的他有时间做喜欢的事情，自学能力得到充分发挥。

In his strong subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, Benson also demonstrated his talent within the school, frequently achieving excellent grades in various exams. The ample free time outside of study also allowed him, who is driven by self-motivation, to have time to do what he likes, and his self-learning ability was fully utilized.

作为大家公认的学霸，他分享的学习经验也非常“凡尔赛”。他表示，其实根本不用在课下花费很多的时间去复习，更多在上课把老师讲的内容去很好的理解、消化，再在考试时依据自己的理解，以逻辑化的形式表达出来，就行了。（老师表示：就酱吗，学霸的世界好难理解）

As a recognized top student, the study experience he shares is also very sophisticated: In fact, there is no need to spend a lot of time reviewing after class. More importantly, it is about understanding and digesting the content taught by the teacher during class, and then expressing it in a very logical form based on one's own understanding during the exam.

除了学业上的优秀，Benson在高中三年积极参与各类竞赛和活动。他曾在英国数学竞赛UKMT中崭露头角，在世界学者杯WSC中展现了卓越的才华。在校内，他对参加美式辩论有着非常高的兴致，连续两年夺得美式辩论赛的团体第一名。

In addition to his academic excellence, Benson also actively participated in various competitions and activities during his three years of high school. He has shown his talent in the UK Mathematics Competition (UKMT) and demonstrated outstanding talent in the World Scholar's Cup (WSC). Within the school, he has a high interest in participating in American-style debates and has won the first place in the American debate competition for two consecutive years.

These experiences not only enriched his resume but also clarified his goals and pursuits in mathematics-related majors.

高二和高三，他分别参加由滑铁卢大学CEMC承办的欧几里得数学竞赛。高二时，他在该竞赛中获得68分的成绩，高三，他再次参加，获得86分。

In his second and third years of high school, he participated in the Euclid Mathematics Competition hosted by the University of Waterloo's CEMC. In his second year, he scored 68 points in the competition, and in his third year, he participated again and scored 86 points.

On the other hand, the co-op program at the University of Waterloo has shown him another possibility with its unique educational model and rich practical experience.

After in-depth discussions with mentors and numerous conversations with family, Benson began to gradually clarify his inner thoughts. He realized that while the academic atmosphere at Imperial College is desirable, the co-op program at the University of Waterloo can better integrate theory with practice, laying a solid foundation for his future career development.
