Dr. Chan graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She then started her career in education by joining a secondary school. During her teaching life, she continued to study at the University of Hong Kong, Sydney University and University of Technology Sydney. She was awarded The Chief Executive Teaching Excellence Award when she was an English teacher. 

Dr. Chan is an experienced English Language educator. She was invited to be the moderator for setting HKTAS papers and she also had much experience in the development of the HKDSE curriculum. Dr. Chan had also been invited to represent Hong Kong in joining the International Education Summit and to help HKEDB in recruiting NET teachers in London.

陈博士毕业于香港中文大学，之后投身教育工作；秉承终身学习理念，陈博士继续于香港大学，澳洲悉尼大学及悉尼科技大学进修。任职中学教师期间获颁授第一届「行政长官卓越教学奖- 英文学习领域」。

陈博士在英语教学领域经验丰富，曾获邀担任「全港系统性评估 - 英文科」审题；对于「香港文凭试」的考评发展甚有研究。陈博士在任中学校长期间曾代表香港与教育局一同出席国际教育高峰会以及代表香港于英国招聘「以英语为母语」的外籍教师。

Dr. Fung Kam-yin graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majored in Biology and minored in Sociology. Dr. Fung became a secondary school teacher after being awarded the PGDE. She took the graduate diploma of Student counselling and was appointed as the Student Guidance Mistress. She was keen on developing school-based curriculum such that she was awarded with prizes from the EDB Hong Kong a few times. In 2000 she led a team of teachers from Computer Studies, History and Geography to develop a new curriculum to embrace the knowledge, skills and attitudes of these subjects. What is more, all round learning opportunities were developed to cover the specific needs of students in sub-urban area and enrich students’ learning experiences. After being awarded with the Master and Doctor Degree, she took the post as the principal for about 15 years. During her principalship, she led the school in all around development such that the school was awarded with all the prizes from The International Alliance for Invitational Education. Dr. Fung was also invited as guest speaker in the sharing session in an international Forum. 

冯金燕博士毕业于香港中文大学, 主修生物学副修社会学, 取得教育文凭后即成为中学教师, 并修读学生辅导文凭, 成为学生辅导主任; 曾屡次撰写校本课程获教育局奖项。2000年, 她带领同事启动课程改革, 将计算机科、历史科、地理科等整合成综合人文科, 课程除在知识、技能和态度上作出整合, 也照顾了天水围学童的学习需要, 增加适切的全方位外访活动, 扩濶学童学习经历。其后修读教育硕士及教育博士(教育政策及学校行政, 香港中文大学), 并出任中学校长近十五年, 期间带领学校获得国际启发潜能教育大奖的所有奖项, 及在国际教育座谈会上分享经验。

"Education is a growth experience that evolves from love, sincerity, commitment and creativity. Educators through these four essences pass knowledge, skills, attitudes and values to students. During the interaction process between teacher and student, both of them gain development and growth. As the development pace is so rapid all over the world, teachers must keep pace with all these developments and be aware of the new advancements in the world. When teacher adopts creativity and flexible teaching strategies, education can move with times and students can be benefited."

"In my belief, the aim of education, apart from enhancing cognitive development, is to emphasize moral, social and personality development so as to foster a positive attitude towards the future. To lay the foundation for life-long learning of students, and prepare them for the building of learning and civilized society is important. Motivating an individual to learn and acquire new skills in their lifetime after graduation will increase their chances of survival and adaptation in society.
