In her opening speech, Ms. Xiang Shanshan, Director of Dragon Spruce Education and Founder of BeeMee, stated, “Since the inception of BeeMee, we have been dedicated to developing children’s bilingual reading and athletic abilities. As children grow, sports will become a crucial skill, serving as a window to the broader world. The parent-child marathon tests the endurance, perseverance, and willpower of the children, provides high-quality family bonding time, and creates valuable life memories and spiritual wealth for the children. Additionally, we hope this event brings care and assistance to the children at Changsha Butterfly House, fostering a charitable spirit in our children.”

随着开场舞音乐的响起，彼一米湘府校区、西湖校区的老师和孩子们以及赞助合作伙伴纷纷献上了精彩的开场表演，以充沛的活力，为这场盛会拉开了序幕。

With the opening dance music, the teachers and children from Xiangfu Campus and Xihu Campus, as well as the sponsoring partners, presented wonderful opening performances, which kicked off the grand event with full vitality.

在长沙市妇联党组成员、副主席文琬莹拉动彩雾棒，比赛正式开始。孩子们在父母的陪伴下，犹如离弦之箭，带着自信和坚持，踏上了这场意义非凡的马拉松之旅。

长沙西湖文化园，作为长沙城市中的一颗璀璨明珠，其湖光山色美不胜收，也是长沙展示城市形象的重要窗口。此次比赛路线围绕西湖文化园精心设计，全程3公里，大人孩子以徒步的形式完成比赛。沿途风光秀丽，绿树成荫，湖光山色尽收眼底。家长们与孩子们手牵手，共同前进，享受着运动带来的快乐。

Xihu Cultural Park, a stunning jewel in Changsha, served as the picturesque backdrop for the 3-kilometre marathon route. Families walked hand in hand, enjoying the scenic views of lush greenery and shimmering lake waters. 

在比赛过程中，为保障人员安全，沿途线路上共设3个能量补给站和医疗点；除了激烈的竞技氛围，赛道设置的多个亲子互动障碍接力环节，让参赛家庭在比赛中感受亲情的温暖和乐趣。

During the race, in order to ensure the safety of personnel, a total of 3 energy supply stations and medical points were set up along the route; In addition to the intense competitive atmosphere, the track sets up a number of parent-child interaction obstacle relay links, so that participating families feel the warmth and fun of family affection in the race.

经过激烈的角逐，最终各个年龄段的优胜者脱颖而出，获得了荣耀奖牌和奖杯。然而，对于大多数参赛家庭来说，更重要的是他们在这场马拉松中收获了亲情、友情和成长。家长们纷纷表示，这次活动让他们与孩子之间的关系更加紧密，也让他们更加关注孩子的健康成长。

After intense competition, winners across various age groups emerged, receiving honourary medals and trophies. For most participants, however, the true reward was the strengthened bonds of family and friendship, and the personal growth experienced. Parents noted that the event brought them closer to their children and heightened their awareness of the importance of their children's health and development.

活动结束后，终点站的北广场还设置了多个互动展位及装置，为完赛的亲子家庭提供了更多体验竞技乐趣的机会。

Post-race, the North Square at the finish line featured multiple interactive booths and installations, offering further opportunities for families to engage in competitive fun.

同时，此次亲子公益马拉松活动的所有收入将通过长沙市妇女儿童发展基金会捐赠给国内备受尊崇的危重症儿童照护慈善先锋——“蝴蝶之家”，为那些需要帮助的重症孤残儿童送去希望与关怀。此外，与此次亲子公益马拉松活动相结合，于5月29日在长沙彼一米岳麓区森林学校举办的艺术慈善拍卖会也取得了圆满成功。据统计，两场活动累计筹集公益基金100102元，这些善款将全部用于支持“蝴蝶之家”的运营与发展。

All proceeds from the event were donated to the esteemed charity, Butterfly House, which provides care for critically ill orphaned children, through the Changsha Women and Children Development Foundation. Additionally, an art charity auction held on May 29th at the BeeMee Forest School in the Yuelu District of Changsha successfully contributed to the fundraising efforts. In total, the two events raised 100,102 yuan for Butterfly House’s operations and development.

彼一米首届西湖环湖亲子公益马拉松的成功举办，不仅为长沙市民带来了一场精彩的体育盛宴，也为公益事业注入了新的活力。这场活动不仅传递了健康向上的生活态度，更传递了爱心与关怀。期待未来能有更多这样的活动，让更多的人参与其中，共同为构建和谐社会贡献力量。本次活动还得到了湖南教育电视台、长沙晚报、红网、湖南日报、凤凰网等多家媒体的关注与报道，扩大了其社会影响力。

The success of the inaugural BeeMee Xihu Parent-Child Charity Marathon not only provided a fantastic athletic experience for Changsha’s residents but also infused new energy into charitable activities. The event promoted a healthy, positive lifestyle and spread love and care within the community. 真正的慈善不仅是提供实物的帮助，还需要传授一种技能，一种让他能够自己帮助自己的技能，即所谓“授人以鱼，不如授之以渔”；最重要的是，要帮助那些贫困的人建立生活的信心，而做慈善的人，也会通过慈善活动而更加热爱这个世界，对我们的世界更有信心。彼一米不仅希望社区里的每一个成员能够积极行动，参与到“彼一米社区公益”中来，用力所能及的举动，帮助身边的人。同时我们更希望每一个彼一米人能够理解公益背后的意义，爱不仅是一种品德，更是一种能力。

True charity involves not just material assistance but also imparting skills and fostering self-reliance – teaching to fish rather than giving fish. Importantly, it helps the underprivileged build confidence in life. Through charity activities, philanthropists can grow to love and believe in the world more deeply.
