There is a legend about Li Bai. He was not a very hard- working student.

有一个关于李白的传说。他不是一个很勤奋的学生。

When he was young， he often skipped school. One day， When he was walking by the river，he saw an old woman. She was working on a large piece of iron.

当他很小的时候,他经常逃课。一天，当他正走在河边的时候，他看到了一位老妇人。她正在磨一根大的铁杵。

He asked. “What are you doing?'

She said, “I’m making a needle". 

“But how can you make a large piece of iron into a needle?"

She replied” I must work hard every day”.

他问道：“您正在做什么？”

她说：“我正在做一根针。”

“但是您怎样才能使一根大铁杵做成一根针呢？”

她回答道：“我必须每天都努力磨铁杵。”

Li Bai suddenly understood the importance of hard work and he started to work hard at school .

李白突然明白了勤奋的重要性了，然后他开始在学校努力学习了。

This story tell us. As long as you work with constant effort, you can always succeed in doing things。
