六月盛夏，万物葱茏。在这个充满生机与希望的季节里，我们迎来了苏州美高学校2023-2024学年结业暨毕业典礼。6月27日，我们共同见证了这一重要时刻，见证了美高学子们从青涩到成熟，从懵懂到坚定的成长历程。
In the flourishing midsummer of June, a season full of vitality and hope, we welcomed the LWS Suzhou Closing and Graduation Ceremony for 2023-2024 Academic Year. On June 27th, we witnessed this significant moment together, the growth journey of the students from innocence to maturity, and from confusion to firmness.
President's Opening Speech
方先生在典礼上发表致辞，鼓励同学们深入学习、理解人工智能的真正原理，将ChatGPT作为工具，而非仅仅是问问题的对象。
在这个人工智能崛起的时代，下一代的艺术家、设计师、甚至是音乐家们，他们可能更多用言语与人工智能沟通，进行创作，展现一种前所未有的思维能力。这种能力不仅要具备扎实的专业知识，更需要具有很强的开放性思维。
方先生表示担心，现在我们更多培养的是直线性的思维模式，过于依赖既定的逻辑和框架，它往往难以跳出固有的思维界限，从而局限了视野的广度和深度，限制了我们的想象力和创造力。而人工智能时代，我们更需要培养的是开放性思维模式。
方先生特意安排了一个生动的案例与同学们互动，让大家深刻体会到什么是开放性思维，突破传统思维定势和狭隘眼界，不局限于既定的知识和经验，从多个角度、多个层面思考问题，激发创新思维和创造力，创造无限可能。
方先生还特别布置了一项暑假作业——使用ChatGPT进行创作。美高也将在接下来的教学中，安排一连串的与ChatGPT相关的教学活动。
Mr. Fang delivered a speech at the ceremony, encouraging the students to delve deeply into the understanding of the true principles of artificial intelligence and to use ChatGPT as a tool, rather than merely a subject to ask questions of.
In this era of the rise of artificial intelligence, the next generation of artists, designers, and even musicians are likely to communicate more with AI through language to create works that demonstrate unprecedented thinking abilities. This ability requires not only solid professional knowledge, but also a strong open mind.
Mr. Fang expressed his concern that under the current educational system, a more linear way of thinking is fostered, relying excessively on established logic and frameworks. This often hinders the ability to think beyond traditional limitations, thereby restricting the breadth and depth of vision as well as our imagination and creativity. However, in the era of artificial intelligence, what we need to cultivate more is an open-minded thinking pattern.
Mr. Fang specifically arranged an interactive and vivid case study with the students to give them a profound understanding of what open-minded thinking is. This is about breaking through traditional thinking patterns and narrow perspectives, not limiting oneself to established knowledge and experience, and instead approaching problems from multiple angles and levels to inspire innovative thinking, creativity, and create limitless possibilities.
Mr. Fang also specifically assigned a summer homework assignment - to create using ChatGPT. LWS will also arrange a series of teaching activities related to ChatGPT in the upcoming semester.

At the ceremony, the students were dressed in neatly pressed uniforms, with brilliant smiles beaming on their faces. Some were filled with deep emotions, while others were thrilled, all celebrating this significant moment together.

passionate performances at the speech contest, the vibrant energy of the summer concert, the splendor of the Chinese Culture Festival,
the broadened horizons gained from the NYU Shanghai study program,
the unity and hard work on the basketball court, the intellectual competition at the NewBiz Business Competition

Each frame of these wonderful moments was preserved in my heart, becoming our most precious memories of growth.
苏州美高陈校长致辞
陈校长深情寄语，看到同学们的点滴成长与蜕变，内心非常欣慰，也希望同学们在未来：健康快乐地成长，成为终身运动者、责任担当者、问题解决者、优雅生活者。
With deep affection, Principal Chen sent his message of congratulations, expressing his heartfelt joy in witnessing the growth and transformation of the students. He also hoped that in the future, the students would grow up healthily and happily, becoming lifelong sports enthusiasts, responsible individuals, problem solvers, and elegant lifestyle advocates.
苏州美高幼儿园李园长致辞
李园长致辞，表达了对孩子们成长的欣慰与骄傲。你们的每一个笑容、每一次进步，都是我们最大的骄傲。愿你们在未来的日子里，健康快乐地成长，勇敢地探索世界，用你们的智慧和爱心去创造美好的未来！
Kindergarten Principal Li delivered a speech expressing her satisfaction and pride in the children's growth. Every smile and every step of progress you make is our greatest pride. We wish you to grow up healthily and happily in the future, bravely explore the world, and create a better future with your wisdom and love!
教师代表发言，鼓励同学们在学习中寻找乐趣，培养自己的兴趣和爱好，真诚的祝福每一位即将踏上新征程的学子，前程似锦，未来可期，愿你们用才华和热情去创造属于自己的精彩篇章，怀揣梦想，勇攀高峰。
The representative of teachers delivered a speech, encouraging the students to find joy in learning and cultivate their interests and hobbies. They sincerely wished every student who was about to embark on a new journey a bright future, full of potential. They hoped that the students would use their talents and enthusiasm to create their own brilliant chapters, holding onto their dreams and bravely scaling new heights.
幼儿园毕业班的小朋友们在视频中用纯真的声音表达了对幼儿园老师的不舍和对未来的美好期望。他们将在苏州美高小学部继续他们的学习之旅，书写属于自己的精彩篇章。
The little friends from the kindergarten graduation class expressed their reluctance to part with their kindergarten teachers and their beautiful expectations for the future in the video with their innocent voices. They will continue their learning journey in the LWS Suzhou Primary School and write their own brilliant chapters.
学生代表们在典礼上分享了自己的成长经历和学习心得。他们用自己的故事告诉我们：青春是最宝贵的财富，我们应当珍惜时光，不断学习和成长，努力去实现心中的梦想。他们的发言激励着在场的每一位同学，也让我们为他们的未来充满了信心和期待。
Student representatives shared their growth experiences and learning insights at the ceremony. They told us through their own stories that youth is the most precious asset, and we should cherish the time, continue to learn and grow, and strive to achieve our dreams. Their speeches inspired every student present and filled us with confidence and expectations for their future.
美高学校领导和老师们为毕业生们颁发了毕业证书，为表现良好的同学颁发了荣誉证书和奖学金，这是对他们点滴努力的肯定和表彰。在未来的日子里，他们将带着这些荣誉和成绩，砥砺前行，再创佳绩。
The leaders and teachers awarded graduation certificates to the graduates and presented honorary certificates and scholarships to the students who performed well. This was a recognition and commendation of their efforts. In the future, they will carry these honors and achievements forward, forge ahead, and achieve greater success.
