I chose to teach in China because it offers rich cultural and educational opportunities. After completing my degree in Honduras, I was drawn to the dynamic and diverse educational environment in China. Teaching here has allowed me to utilize my multicultural background, and the support I receive from my colleagues and management at CISK has been incredible. This supportive environment enables me to grow as an educator and positively impact my students.

My multicultural background helps me empathize with my students, who come from various cultural backgrounds themselves. I strive to put myself in their shoes to understand how they think and feel. This empathy allows me to select relevant and engaging topics that resonate with them. By respecting their unique perspectives and communicating at their level, I create an inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and understood.

In kindergarten, while the academic part is crucial, I believe that social development is equally important. At this age, students are learning how to interact with their peers, teachers, and the world around them. It's vital for them to understand how to communicate respectfully, share, and cooperate with others. These social skills lay the foundation for their future interactions and personal growth. By focusing on both academic and social development, we help children become well-rounded individuals.

CISK's educational approach is unique because it grants students the freedom to explore their interests and choose their learning topics and projects. This autonomy encourages them to think critically and creatively. We don't dictate the right or wrong ways to think; instead, we provide them with the tools they need to form their own opinions and ideas. This approach fosters independent thinking and helps students develop the skills necessary to become innovative and thoughtful future citizens.
