A Warm Welcome and
Seamless Transition
Two young boarders, Bella and Jayden from Year 6, quickly adapted to boarding life thanks to our dedicated boarding team and the buddy programme.
Bella recalled, “The boarding team helped me find the places we usually go, such as where to put our clothes after washing.”
Jayden highlighted the buddy programme, “They sent an older student to help me adapt quickly.” This warm welcome and support from older students help new boarders feel at home swiftly, fostering a sense of belonging from the very start.

Our boarding programme offers valuable opportunities for students to meet other boarders, socialise, and develop strong interpersonal skills.
Jenny from Year 8 highlighted the supportive community, saying, “When I have a problem, my roommates come together to help me, and my teachers are very patient in teaching me how to do things well.”
Andy, also from Year 8, cherishes his time with friends, stating, “My favourite activity in the dorm room is spending time with my friends.” The strong bonds formed among students and the attentive guidance from teachers create a harmonious and supportive living environment.

Boarding at LEH Foshan empowers students to develop essential life habits and skills, take charge of their lives, and prepare for the future.
Chris and Yen Yung from Year 11 reflected on the valuable habits they’ve cultivated. Chris mentioned, “Time management is a big one. I usually go to sleep at 10:30 and get up at 6:40. I also have swimming training, and we cycle around the river or visit shopping malls with House Parents.”

Yen Yung added, “Mr Banks (Head of Boarding) joins us for hikes (on weekends). I can now schedule my time properly, which helps improve my grades. Teachers look after us in evening school, ensuring we do our homework. I’ve become more organised in housekeeping, making sure my room is clean and tidy.” These experiences instil independence and essential life skills that prepare students for future success.
