新学年的协奏曲缓缓奏响

孩子们清澈明朗的笑声，让沉寂已久的校园恢复了满满活力。带着憧憬与期待，在多彩气球的簇拥下，沐浴着清晨的微光，置身于焕然一新的校园里。在喜悦和激动中，2024-2025学年盛大开启，让我们一同走进校园，开启这场美好旅程。

我们曾说过，在等待相遇的时间里，奇迹似乎正在悄然发生。相信你们已经看到许多美好正在海嘉悄然绽放。为了给同学们一个热烈而又温暖的开学，老师们早在开学之前就精心布置好了一切。我们想为孩子们呈现最棒的开学惊喜，想让他们知道：因为是“你”，独一无二的“你”，老师愿意为你展开一场盛大的开学盛宴。

开学当日，老师们的引领与关怀、同学间的友爱与互助、精心设计的破冰活动等，很快让大家顺利从“假期模式”切换至“学习模式”，也让新同学消除了陌生感，开心投入到全新的学习生活中。

在海嘉，爱是一道桥梁，将海嘉社区的每一份子联系在了一起，我们互相启迪、共同进步。海嘉学子将和老师们一同遨游学海，咀嚼新的智慧之果，用饱满的精神迎接全新的征程与挑战。

在这个新“嘉”中，我们将继续播种智慧的种子，让每一位学生都能在这里找到属于自己的光芒。探究式的学习方式将引导学生提出问题、寻找答案、构建知识；多元文化的交流将拓宽学生的视野，培养成为世界公民的素养。

A Change is Gonna Come  

一切美好正在发生

我们的生命中会遭遇很多来自陌生人的“打扰”，大多数时候我们甚至无法揣测对方是“善意”或是“恶意”，若我们愿意心怀善念向前进一步，给这个世界一次正向反馈，也许美好就这么发生了。

We all encounter a lot of "interruptions" from strangers in our lives. Most of the time we can't even guess whether the other party is "kind" or "malicious." However, if we are willing to take a step forward with kindness and communicate in a positive way with others, maybe something good will happen.

《杀死一只知更鸟》里面有一句经典台词，你永远不可能真正了解谁，除非你穿上他的鞋子，陪他走上一段。

“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view…until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.” 

童年时代开始，你们或许和我一样，都曾问过自己，我是不是一个幸运的小孩？世界会不会对我充满善意？又或者，为什么世界没有善待我，我又做错了什么。倘若我们换一个视角，假设世界也是一个活生生的人，虽然它注定是复杂且多变的，但它可能也是一个小心翼翼的i人（内向的人），它也期待我们主动、包容、耐心的走近它。用善意的心去理解别人的话，会让世界变得单纯和美好。

Since childhood, you may have asked yourself, like me, if I was a lucky child? Will the world be kind to me? Or why the world didn't treat me well, and what did I do wrong? If we look at it differently, we can view the world as a living person. Although it is destined to become complex and change over time, it may also become a cautious person (introvert) expecting us to approach it actively, tolerantly, and patiently.Understanding the words of others with a kind heart will make the world simple and beautiful. 查尔斯•达尔文曾在爱丁堡大学学医，后转入剑桥基督学院读神学，但他成绩平平，因为他的数学必修课成绩比较差。在《查尔斯•达尔文的生平和书信》中可见，他自知并不是刻苦的学生，但在剑桥大学任何事都抵不上“搜集昆虫的乐趣”，他甚至亲子饲养鸽子来探究单一物种变异的可能性。达尔文去世时，他已经囊括了英国科学家当时能得到的所有大奖。他简单明了的研究结论激起了世人的巨大兴趣：如果人类由猿猴进化而来，就不可能是亚当的后裔。

Charles Darwin studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh before transferring to Christ's College, Cambridge, where he did not get good grades because of his poor grades in the compulsory mathematics courses. In “The Life and Letters of Charles Darwin,” he knew he was not a hardworking student. Yet, in his thinking, nothing at Cambridge University could be compared to "the pleasure of collecting insects." He even raised pigeons to explore the possibility of the mutation of a single species. By the time Darwin died, he had won all the prizes a United Kingdom scientist could have received at the time. His simple and straightforward findings have aroused great interest: if humans had evolved from apes, they could not have been descendants of Adam. 

今天，你们已然站在巨大的肩膀上认识世界。·也许你也曾是转学生，成绩平平。也许你未来会成为VUCA时代的科学巨匠，又或者按照你喜欢的方式度过余生。但请一定相信，这世界上所有的美好，都来源于专注。新的学年，让我们共同期待，一切美好正在发生；让我们共同迎接，一切正在发生的美好。”

Today, you're standing upon huge shoulders to get to know the world. Maybe you're a transfer student with mediocre grades. Maybe you'll become a giant in the subject of science in the VUCA era, or maybe you will simply spend the rest of your life the way you choose. However, please believe that all the beauty in this world comes from concentration.

In the new school year, let us look forward to everything that happens to be good and positive; Let's welcome all the good things that are on the way to becoming part of our reality.

A New Year, A New Beginning 

新学年，新气象

Remember that each and every day is a new opportunity to be better, become smarter, innovate quicker, and help those who may need it. It may seem like so much to do and understand right now but we have made this easier for you to be the best part of the BIBA family that you can be. 

Remember your 4Rs of Respect, Responsibility, Relationships, and Rigor. The 4Rs help remind us of what we should do and aim for. They help guide us when we may not know exactly what to say or do in a given situation. They tell us what we should be doing within our BIBA school and even in our homes outside of school.

请记住，每一天都是崭新的，让我们尽自己的能力去帮助、温暖身边的人。在面对多元的世界，有很多事情要去做和理解，我们为BIBA 社区成员提供平台和机会，让同学们成为更好的自己。在海嘉，4R为:尊重、责任、友情和努力。4R有助于提醒我们应该做什么，我们的目标。当我们在特定情况下可能不知道该说什么或做什么时，它们有助于指导我们。他们告诉我们在海嘉学校内，甚至在校外的家中应该做什么。

Don’t worry if these R’s are new to you or if you are still working on them because you will get better and better over time. As we get ready to start our new day, please remember to wear your BIBA clothing with pride and respect, walk to the right side in the hallways quietly, and help keep your new school clean. Let’s begin our new journey together…Now!
