传统文化,作为中华民族的瑰宝,不仅承载着历史的厚重记忆,更是智慧的璀璨结晶和民族坚韧精神的象征。在国庆活动即将拉开帷幕之际,彼一米湘府校区各班级精心策划并开展了为期两周的传统文化学习活动。这些活动不仅是对传统文化的深切弘扬与传承,更是为孩子们的成长搭建了一座连接历史与未来的坚实桥梁。

Traditional culture, as the treasure of the Chinese nation, not only carries the heavy memory of history, but also is the brilliant crystallization of wisdom and the symbol of national resilience. As the National Day activities are about to kick off, each class in BeeMee Xiangfu Campus has carefully planned and carried out two weeks of traditional culture learning activities. These activities not only promote and pass on traditional culture, but also build a solid bridge between history and the future for the children's growth.

孩子们,如同初绽的花朵,正处于对世界充满好奇与探索的黄金阶段。在这次爱国主题学习周中,各班级的孩子们积极参与到形式多样的传统文化活动中。他们亲身体验古老的技艺,聆听动人的故事,感受独特的艺术魅力,从而在心中悄然种下热爱传统文化的种子。

Children, like blossoming flowers, are in the golden stage of curiosity and exploration of the world. During this patriotic theme learning week, children from all classes actively participated in a variety of traditional cultural activities. They experienced ancient techniques, listened to moving stories and felt the unique charm of art, thus quietly planting the seeds of love for traditional culture in their hearts.

这些活动不仅丰富了孩子们的知识,更在潜移默化中培养了他们的民族自豪感和文化认同感。通过这样的学习体验,孩子们不仅能够更好地理解历史,更能够在未来的成长道路上,以更加自信和坚定的步伐,走向更加广阔的世界。

These activities not only enrich the children's knowledge, but also cultivate their sense of national pride and cultural identity in a subtle way. Through this kind of learning experience, the children will not only be able to better understand the history, but also be able to grow up in the future with a more confident and determined step towards a broader world.

Y1A: 中国五星红旗

Y1A: The Chinese Five-Star Red Flag

Trevor老师带领小宝贝们深入学习了中国五星红旗。通过细致的讲解,孩子们了解了国旗的颜色和形状,并深入探索了五星红旗上的星星大小和数量。他们还学习了国旗的正确摆放方向,并亲手尝试制作五星红旗。这一系列活动不仅增强了孩子们对祖国旗帜的认知,还激发了他们对国家象征的浓厚兴趣和探索欲望。

Teacher Trevor led the little ones on a journey to learn all about the Chinese Five-Star Red Flag. Through fun and engaging lessons, the children discovered the colors and shape of the flag, and explored the size and number of stars on it. They also learned how to display the flag correctly and even made their own versions of the Five-Star Red Flag. These activities not only helped the kids understand the significance of the national flag, but also sparked their curiosity and excitement to learn more about this important national symbol.

K1A:中国传统食物

K1A: Traditional Chinese Food

K1A的孩子们深入探索了中国传统美食文化。通过老师的精心指导,他们不仅学会了包饺子、制作蔬果面条,还掌握了画糖画的技巧。这一系列活动不仅提升了孩子们的逻辑思维和动手能力,还培养了他们的团队合作精神,增强了他们解决问题的能力。孩子们能够自信地演唱包饺子的英文歌曲,并在糖画剧场中生动地表演糖画制作过程,从而在英语表达上展现出更大的自信。

The children of K1A dove into the world of traditional Chinese cuisine. With careful guidance from their teachers, they not only learned how to make dumplings and veggie noodles, but they also mastered the art of creating sugar paintings. These activities not only improved the children's logical thinking and hands-on skills but also encouraged teamwork and enhanced their problem-solving abilities. The kids confidently sang the dumpling-making song in English and gave lively performances in the sugar painting theater, showcasing a newfound confidence in expressing themselves in English.

K1B: 中国京剧脸谱

K1B: Chinese Peking Opera Masks

外教老师Russ带领孩子们深入探索中国京剧脸谱的奥秘。通过欣赏与学习,孩子们了解到京剧作为中国的国粹,其脸谱不仅是视觉艺术的体现,更是人物性格与命运的象征。在森林的探索中,他们细致观察脸谱的颜色与形状,理解其与人物特点的密切关联。孩子们不仅学会了说唱脸谱的演唱,还挑选了自己喜爱的脸谱人物进行表演,深刻感受到京剧的独特魅力,并为中国拥有如此独特的艺术形式而自豪。

Teacher Russ led the K1B children on an exciting journey to explore the secrets of Chinese Peking Opera masks. Through watching and learning, the children discovered that Peking Opera, as a national treasure of China, is not only a visual art but also a symbol of characters' personalities and fates. During their exploration in the forest, they carefully observed the colors and shapes of the masks and learned how closely these are tied to the traits of each character. The children also learned to sing the "Face Mask" song and chose their favorite Peking Opera mask characters to perform. They deeply experienced the unique charm of Peking Opera and felt proud that China has such a special form of art.

K2A: 中国传统的茶会

K2A: Traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony

孩子们通过一系列引人入胜的综合课程,深入探索了中国茶文化。他们将语言、文化、科学、艺术和数学融为一体,创造了一次真正的国际学习体验。从举办英语茶会到研究茶叶的科学特性,再到设计中国茶壶,这一周充满了动手实践的乐趣。最终,孩子们举办了一场特别的茶道仪式,引导家长们参与,展示了他们对中国茶的新知识,成功地在文化和语言之间架起了桥梁。

Through a series of engaging and integrated lessons, the K2A children dove deep into the rich world of Chinese tea culture. They combined language, culture, science, art, and math to create a truly international learning experience. From hosting an English tea party to studying the science behind tea leaves and designing Chinese teapots, the week was filled with hands-on fun. The highlight was a special tea ceremony where the children guided their parents through the experience, showing off their new knowledge about Chinese tea and successfully bridging the gap between culture and language.

K2B: 踢毽子

K2B: Shuttlecock Kicking

K2B班围绕传统游戏——毽子,展开了一系列丰富多彩的主题活动。中外教老师紧密协作,为孩子们带来了既难忘又富有教育意义的学习体验。Rhiannon以国际化的视角,介绍了毽子在其他国家的类似游戏形式,让孩子们了解到不同文化背景下娱乐活动的共通之处,激发了他们的好奇心和探索欲。中教老师则深入讲解了毽子在中国的悠久历史和文化内涵,从古代的民间娱乐活动到如今的传统体育项目,使孩子们深刻认识到毽子在中国文化中的重要地位。通过共同组织的毽子游戏活动,孩子们不仅培养了团队合作精神和竞争意识,更在互动中拓宽了国际视野,增强了爱情怀。

A series of vibrant themed activities were centered around the traditional game of shuttlecock kicking. The Chinese and foreign teachers worked closely together to create a fun and educational experience for the children. Teacher Rhiannon introduced similar games from different countries, giving the kids an international perspective and helping them see the common threads in entertainment across cultures, sparking their curiosity and desire to explore. The Chinese teacher, on the other hand, delved into the rich history and cultural significance of shuttlecock kicking in China, from its roots in ancient folk entertainment to its role as a traditional sport today. Through the collaborative shuttlecock games, the children not only developed teamwork and a sense of healthy competition but also broadened their global perspective while deepening their appreciation for Chinese culture.

K2C: 中国十二生肖

K2C: The Chinese Zodiac

一场别开生面的十二生肖主题活动,让孩子们沉浸在中华文化的魅力之中。此次活动精心设计了起源学习、实践活动和成果展示三个环节,旨在从国际视角引导孩子们深入了解和体验中国传统文化。活动伊始,老师们通过生动有趣的故事,向孩子们讲述了十二生肖的起源,让他们领略到这一古老文化符号的深厚背景与独特意义。随后,孩子们在十二生肖运动会中,选择自己喜爱的生肖角色,参与障碍赛,展现出团结协作的精神。此外,他们还亲手制作了十二生肖面具,戴上自己生肖的面具,体验了一场别具特色的“动物狂欢节”。在舞龙表演环节,孩子们在老师的指导下,挥舞着彩色的龙珠,跟随音乐的节奏,共同完成了一场精彩的舞龙表演。同时,他们还利用纸杯制作了各种生肖动物,锻炼了动手能力,激发了创造力。此次活动不仅让孩子们在欢笑中学习,更让他们在实践中深刻感受到中华文化的博大精深。

A captivating Chinese Zodiac-themed activity immersed the children in the charm of Chinese culture. The event was thoughtfully designed with three parts: learning about the origins, hands-on activities, and a final showcase, all aimed at helping the children explore and experience traditional Chinese culture from an international perspective. The activity began with lively stories from the teachers, introducing the children to the origins of the Chinese Zodiac. This gave them a glimpse into the deep historical roots and unique significance of this ancient cultural symbol. Next, the children participated in a Zodiac-themed sports event, where they chose their favorite Zodiac animal and competed in obstacle races, fostering teamwork and collaboration. They also made their own Zodiac masks, and wearing them, they enjoyed a fun-filled "Animal Carnival." In the dragon dance segment, under the teachers' guidance, the children waved colorful dragon balls and danced to the rhythm of the music, putting on an impressive dragon dance performance. Additionally, they created various Zodiac animals using paper cups, which helped to develop their hands-on skills and spark their creativity. This activity not only allowed the children to learn through laughter and fun but also gave them a deeper appreciation for the richness of Chinese culture.

K3A: 乒乓球

K3A: Ping Pong

K3A班在国庆庆祝活动中以乒乓球为主题,由中文老师Becky引导孩子们探索乒乓球的历史,并介绍了巴黎奥运会的乒乓球冠军,如孙颖莎、王楚钦和马龙。随后,Martin老师组织了一系列与乒乓球相关的活动,包括学习基本词汇如球、桨、桌子和网,并通过实际打球和击球练习技能。此外,孩子们还用金色油漆和国庆主题的装饰品制作了个性化的乒乓球拍。这些创意活动不仅展示了孩子们的个性,还促进了团队合作和体育精神的培养。

In celebration of National Day, K3A focused on the theme of ping pong. Led by Chinese teacher Becky, the children explored the history of the sport and learned about Olympic ping pong champions from the Paris Olympics, such as Sun Yingsha, Wang Chuqin, and Ma Long. Following this, Teacher Martin organized a series of ping pong-related activities, where the children learned basic vocabulary like ball, paddle, table, and net, and practiced their skills through hands-on ball and paddle exercises. The children also got creative by making their own personalized ping pong paddles, using gold paint and National Day-themed decorations. These fun and interactive activities not only allowed the children to express their creativity but also fostered teamwork and a sense of sportsmanship.

K3B: 中国国画

K3B: Chinese Traditional Painting

K3B精心策划并开展了一系列国画学习活动,旨在让孩子们深入体验和感受中华民族传统文化的独特魅力。活动伊始,Hebe老师向孩子们详细介绍了国画的基本知识,包括其历史渊源、发展历程以及在中华文化中的重要地位。随后,她讲解了国画工具如毛笔、宣纸、墨汁和颜料的特点与使用方法,孩子们通过亲身体验,对国画的创作过程有了初步认识。在掌握基础知识后,孩子们在Chris老师的指导下开始尝试创作。他们首先从水墨山水图入手,通过观察自然山水,运用皴、擦、点、染等技法,表现山水的层次与立体感。接着,孩子们创作鸟兽图,观察动物形态,用简洁线条和丰富墨色描绘动物的灵动与可爱。最后,花卉画的创作让孩子们更加注重细节与色彩,通过细腻笔触和鲜艳色彩展现花卉的美丽与生机。

K3B planned and carried out a series of Chinese traditional painting activities, designed to immerse the children in the unique charm of Chinese culture. The activities began with Teacher Hebe introducing the children to the basics of Chinese painting, including its historical origins, development, and its significant role in Chinese culture. She also explained the various tools used in traditional painting, such as the brush, rice paper, ink, and paints, giving the children hands-on experience with these materials, helping them understand the painting process. After grasping the basics, the children, guided by Teacher Chris, began their own creations. They started with ink landscape paintings, observing natural landscapes and learning techniques like shading, rubbing, dotting, and blending to depict depth and dimension in their artwork. Next, the children created animal paintings, observing the forms of animals and using simple lines and rich ink tones to capture their liveliness and charm. Finally, they moved on to flower paintings, focusing more on details and color. Through delicate brushstrokes and vibrant hues, they brought out the beauty and vitality of the flowers.

K3C: 中国著名建筑长城

K3C: The Great Wall of China

K3C的孩子们从认识长城的地理位置开始,逐步深入了解其历史背景、建筑材料及作用。通过整合IEYC课程与学习中心资源,他们亲手搭建长城模型,并跟随Jacob老师学习如何用纸箱砖头砌筑长城与烽火台。最后,孩子们融入艺术大师的风格,对长城进行独特装饰。这种创新性的装饰不仅为长城带来了全新的视觉体验,更促进了艺术与历史的深度交融,使更多人得以领略艺术的魅力与长城的壮丽。

The children of K3C began their exploration of the Great Wall by learning about its geographical location, historical background, building materials, and its purpose. By integrating the IEYC curriculum and learning center resources, they had the opportunity to build their own model of the Great Wall. Under Teacher Jacob's guidance, the children learned how to construct divs of the wall and watchtowers using cardboard bricks. In the final stage, they added their own artistic touches to the Great Wall, inspired by famous artists’ styles. This creative decoration not only gave the Wall a fresh visual twist but also blended art and history in a way that allowed the children to appreciate both the grandeur of the Great Wall and the power of artistic expression.


为期两周的传统文化的学习,不仅让孩子们更加深刻地理解了祖国的历史与文化,更在无形中增强了他们的民族自豪感和爱国情怀。这段宝贵的学习经历,如同春风化雨,悄然滋润着孩子们的心田,让他们在感受中华文明博大精深的同时,也更加坚定了对祖国的热爱与敬仰。

The two-week study of traditional culture not only gave the children a deeper understanding of the history and culture of the motherland, but also strengthened their sense of national pride and patriotism in an invisible way. This valuable learning experience, like spring rain, quietly nourished the children's hearts, making them feel the profoundness of Chinese civilization, and at the same time, also strengthened their love and admiration for the motherland.
